Mawbeh Dalton,When are you "samba kathey harr's" gonna try to be at least a bit professional for a change? If memory serves me right and this lady is responsible for causing the fire that smoked Banjul like the Smokey mountains for almost a week , well she deserves the punishment and fines up to at least the damage incurred, she may be a nice Ajaratou and everything ,hardworking, dedicated, well you are the jaliba's praise singers you should know the rest of the words. Let me just reassure you if we are talking about the same fire at Denton Bridge that held up,merged traffic to a one lane - to "Incoming" traffic for almost 3 days then this is one naughty Ajaratou, The smoke and fire Mr D lasted for more than 3 days ,even when they claimed on the Radio and tv that it was finally extinguished, it still had patches ,A lot of property was destroyed Mr D. Do you know what "Horletey Gerteh" is ? ground nut shells ,mounds and mounds of it caught on fire ,I guess it is used for manure and flower bedding. You bloggers are very incompetent, liars and just straight up swindlers, Stop this nonsense and at least get a source in Gambia,Waiting for desperate people to send their pleas on line to inexperienced wanna be journalist is not the solution to Gambia's problem . Moe, I guess you couldn't resist the urge to respond to this story could you?
The information on the story is from a blood family relative and there isn't a closer source to that unless you want us to take only the side of the government.
You missed the key message on the report because you are again quick to jump to conclusion on your name calling. When will you have an open mind to what you don't agree with?
Take the story on either way you want... why would this poor woman set the mangroves on fire after working there for half of her life? What interest do you think she would gain by deliberately setting the place on fire?
Even if she had set the place on fire by accident, doesn't she deserve due process of the law with a crime that is bailable within 24 hours of being arrested? How long did she spend in Jail?
Isn't the story true that Gambian woman are the backbone of our economy and social structure? Are they not the biggest constituents of the President? Doesn't this president brag about lifting Gambian women? Who better to lift than a poor woman who has spend her entire life trying to make ends meet?
These are common sense questions that only needs a reasonable person to read and give the story the benefit of the doubt. We should never allow our blind support to interfer with a common sense story. Our duty is to report and you decide.
Besides, if this were your close relative what would your response be, send her to jail? Come on... put hate aside and deal with the real issues... see how you emotionally deal with this. Challenge your self my friend. I know it is hard to ignore people you don't like but what can you do? |

Your problem is every other opinion is the Government, for the last time Demba ,am in no way associated with the government. I don't have a single connection with anyone working for the government, no ties whatsoever, Everything I divulge is from my thick skull ,don't forget am the "Grand listiharr Kat" What am telling you is what I had to deal with for three days and I know the security risk it posed ,Traffic was at a stand still 90 percent of the time. Once again I will try to explain Demba ,traffic was merged into outgoing traffic from Banjul for two goddamn days ,I knew a relative sent their sorry plea to inexperienced editors, I think I was the first to hint that. Did you sit to consider at least asking your favorite correspondent Solo to go check it out . Yeah by the way did he die or he's always been non existent? Oh lord my imaginary friend Solo. Note I don't hate people who are helpless and vulnerable, much rather I feel for them...............................................................Peace quote: Originally posted by dbaldeh

STOP! You know nothing about this woman. I know this woman very well and I know a lot about the circumstances leading to the false accusations levied against her. I will not go into detail about this for obvious reasons. You come here taking every opportunity to praise Mr Jammeh's regime. It is your prerogative to praise Jammeh if you so wishes, but before you open your mouth about private cases like these that you certainly know nothing about, punctuate your remarks with a high degree of objectivity, otherwise do us all a favour and keep your mouth shut. Your childish political game is the main reason I tend to avoid the politic sections like the plague. I am done with you. Have a good life. |

Moe, you are not associated with the government but just want to visit the Gambia have fun and return to your base. Is that why you support that rogue regime. Do you have any conscience on the human rights violations going on in the Gambia.
Where is Femi peters? Where is Deyda Hydara? Where are Daba Marenah and others? Where is chief Manneh? Where are our students who got killed? Is any of your relatives behind bars or has ever been arrested and jailed.
How did you know that it was this woman who set the fire at the bridge? If vichicles were stranded does that justify that this woman is the one who set the place on fire? It it was your aunty would you be saying the same?
If you are not pro goverment I don't know where you are. Hate is a disease... have an open mind and give benefit of the doubt. |

So am assuming you first statement is just an opinion about my believes and strategy. Do you want me to try and explain thoroughly what I feel. Do not ever try to make me the lesser person again ,You are the undemocratic democrat Brother man.
"Ajaratou Arson" whether the fire was accidental or due to carelessness should be addressed. We can sit here and discuss the failures of the justice system all day but I think almost every institution was basically a failure and this is just my opinion, efforts are being made to bring them up to standard but trust me it won't be over night.
Where is Femi peters? Where is Deyda Hydara? Where are Daba Marenah and others? Where is chief Manneh? Where are our students who got killed? Is any of your relatives behind bars or has ever been arrested and jailed.
Femi Peters broke the Law and as a seasoned politician he should know what his limitations are. He chose the path he is walking today when he decided to take the law in his own hands ,I hope you are catching on or should I explain further. Deyda Hydara was murdered by unknown assailants and the supposed killers got away. If you wanna get technical ,his murder is still unsolved. My relatives are not that stupid to break the laws meant to govern them ,there are different methods and avenues to remedy certain situations and breaking the law sets a new standard. Where is Chief Manneh Demba Baldeh? If you claim to know his whereabouts you know exactly what that means.
How did you know that it was this woman who set the fire at the bridge? If vichicles were stranded does that justify that this woman is the one who set the place on fire? It it was your aunty would you be saying the same?
She said it was her firewood and thats all I know ,They never came to my house and picked up my mother and neither was your mother picked up . The question remains Why was she picked out of 1.5 million Gambianse
If you are not pro goverment I don't know where you are. Hate is a disease... have an open mind and give benefit of the doubt.

So we have two sets of laws in the Gambia under Jammeh??? One that is for the APRC and the other for opponents and unpatriotic. You can't be serious.
The police chief who refused to give Peters a Permit is now languishing in jail waiting for his fate right? Did he ever thought that this day will come?
APRC is campaigning all over the country with loud speakers and they don't need a permit? Femi is in Jail because he used one? Is this the law of the jungle? Do as I say not as I do????
Who arrested Ebrima Manneh for simply speaking his mind? Who has the responsibility and took oath of office to protect citizens?
"Deyda Hydara was murdered by unknown assailants and the supposed killers got away. If you wanna get technical ,his murder is still unsolved".
Unresolved? you kidding right... Who has the mandate to enforce the laws of the country to make sure that bandits don't drive around in cars without license plates killing citizens?
If they did not know who killed him why didn't they allow fair investigation to take place? If you have nothing to fear why obstruct the investigation? Didn't the President said " Go ask Deyda Hydara who killed him"? what an inhumane statement....
So do you mean to tell me it is ok for some unknown people to blow your head in your car while you were in Gambia and the government should do nothing about it?
Come on, put aside your bias and put yourself in these people and their families shoes? Sometimes it is only human that we can relate to what others have to go through.
Honestly I don't know where your human conscience has gone... neither do your president have a clue what awaits him....
By the way Ms Mbahey was arrested at her work place. That is where she makes a living and she happened to be at the place. You have no reason to support the arrest of this innocent woman... watch what you wish for your enemies...

Wait a minute now Demba, you should be asking the question why was Femi Peters arrested in the first place ? Since you are a novice I will take the time and tell you what happened and how it can be resolved. The issue is I am always shocked by the fact that relevant stories that are of essence are never dealt with accordingly, it seems like the politicians and attorneys are dependent on misleading the general population, creating confusion and chaos, incorporating trial and error practices to fight a norm.
The sad thing is most of you clowns are taking advantage of the fact that the Babylonian public interest is to see instability ,chaos and war in Africa, this has been the trend since after independence my dear friends,The way I see it Africa may be free from the clutches of colonization but are we truly free Demba ?. It's not just in the interest of the Babylonian media to paint a gloomy picture of Africa as a matter of fact as recently as today you fools are busy trotting the globe screaming Human Rights abuses, Murders ,Illegal Detentions under the APRC which most of it is unfounded. I know you are a bunch of opportunist just like the latter since chaos seems to be the key of solving their ailing economies and for ya'll it is often used as an alibi to justify this malicious journalistic approach being entrenched . What most fail to understand is that most of you are aspiring politicians trying to make a name for yourselves. Trust me it is not in the interest of any Babylonian to ensure that Africa is stable, 90 percent of their natural resources in general will be property of a stable Africa. I hope you are following where am going with this, Gambia in general is being painted as a regional problem, a case of human disaster and conflict and you fools are solely responsible for it, the politicians on the other hand see it as an opportunity to exploit votes and use it as a political gain. Why was Femi arrested and jailed? he broke the law and paid the price. Is the law Valid? In my opinion with the given circumstances,it is valid until we have a professional media and seasoned politicians. Is the law subjected to a judicial review because the constitution supersede any state law and it does have a tendency of conflicting with his rights? ,of course but Femi should have thought about addressing that issue before deliberately breaking the law. Even if it is found to conflict with his rights,he will have no choice to serve his term without a presidential pardon .The law and amendment will become in effect as of the day of the supreme court findings. This is where I blame the UDP leadership,Is Darboe unaware of all this being a seasoned human rights lawyer or am I just tripping? The interpretation of the laws is the proper and peculiar province of the courts. The Gambian constitution is, in fact, and must be regarded by any judges, as a fundamental law. It is up to their interpretation to ascertain its meaning, as well as the meaning of any particular act proceeding from the legislative body. If there should happen to be an irreconcilable variance between two, that which has the superior obligation and validity ought, of course, to be preferred or, in other words, the constitution ought to be preferred to the statute or law. The last time I checked since the Last Sabarry Mission it seems the opposition forgot about the validity of the law that sent them all to Jail. By the way its still applicable even though it's subjected to a review. I just hope someone responsible will challenge the Law, but I am guessing it is not in their interest to have it voided. It will be needed at a latter time when they eventually rise to the challenge, what the opposition leadership needs to do is take full responsibility for misleading Peter's. Darboe should have known the implications, unless this was an opportunity to use human casualty as a method of rebelling against their denial of permits.
The police chief who refused to give Peters a Permit is now languishing in jail waiting for his fate right? Did he ever thought that this day will come? Everyone who commits a crime on a daily basis should expect to be arrested when found wanting .whether it's related to Femi's permit denial or not he knows why he is in jail.
APRC is campaigning all over the country with loud speakers and they don't need a permit? Femi is in Jail because he used one? Is this the law of the jungle? Do as I say not as I do????
I’m not going to bother sifting through the garbage spewed out by those willing to misinform the general population, including you and almost all the opposition leaders. I call it intellectual prostitution
I think it's time Darboe is asked why his Party is denied Permits,It could be their rebellious nature and unconventional methods. Please ask Darboe why he is denied permits and I hope he will elaborate?
Who arrested Ebrima Manneh for simply speaking his mind? Who has the responsibility and took oath of office to protect citizens?
Now here we go again with the Chief story ,Your other friend Kemo Cham said Yahya Jammeh had absolutely nothing to do with it.It was all orchestrated by civilians and he has proof ,but he disappeared with his evidence after making wild accusations. Call the brother and ask him what happened to Chief ,He said he has overwhelming evidence that Jammeh or the APRC had nothing to do with it. I did not say it ,so please interview your fellow compatriot Kemo Cham. He will tell you all the people associated with his arrest unless he is just as full of shiit as you all.
Unresolved? you kidding right... Who has the mandate to enforce the laws of the country to make sure that bandits don't drive around in cars without license plates killing citizens?
First of all my dear friend,It was a rental car according to sources quite possibly a cab. The only cars runing around Gambia without Licence Plates do have Licence Plates , The star on the front indicates what military personell is occupying that vehicle , Everyone knows whose cars they are anyways. Put it this way they are not conventional plates and the star in the front usually determines who the possible occupant of the Vehicle is. Kinda retarded but yeah the police do have stops verifying licence plates and insurances on vehicles ,What you are saying once again is unfounded DUDE.
If they did not know who killed him why didn't they allow fair investigation to take place? If you have nothing to fear why obstruct the investigation? Didn't the President said " Go ask Deyda Hydara who killed him"? what an inhumane statement....
That is after every Tom Dick and Harry is pointing accusing fingers at him ,well not just accusing ,blaming him for it. I doubt if he had anything to do with the assassination of Deyda for several reasons. It will be foolish to get rid of a man who he had an appointment with the next day, the crime was perpetuated by a very calculating individual like Ya'll. So do you mean to tell me it is ok for some unknown people to blow your head in your car while you were in Gambia and the government should do nothing about it?
They can only investigate at their capacity and throw the towel down if it becomes an unsolved mystery or as the case is interference.Check you state retard boy ,tell me how many cases are unsolved in America and then we can talk.
By the way Ms Mbahey was arrested at her work place. That is where she makes a living and she happened to be at the place. You have no reason to support the arrest of this innocent woman... watch what you wish for your enemies...
"Ajartou Arson" was arrested at the source of the fire. Fires can be investigated and the original source can be determined Demba. she tended to blame ,an unknown individual for stealing and using her firewood is that right?

"he broke the law and paid the price. Is the law Valid? In my opinion with the given circumstances,it is valid until we have a professional media and seasoned politicians"
Oh this is funny... you blame the media for the bad laws? This is what is really retarded to borrow your words.
See Moe, this is why I think you have some connection to this government or at least simpathy for their sorry ignorance. You seems to give every excuse for the way the government is acting even if it is not justified.
"Everyone who commits a crime on a daily basis should expect to be arrested when found wanting .whether it's related to Femi's permit denial or not he knows why he is in jail".
Except the President and his aides until they fall apart with him. The day of judgment is coming for everyone including your dear leader.
"Now here we go again with the Chief story ,Your other friend Kemo Cham said Yahya Jammeh had absolutely nothing to do with it.It was all orchestrated by civilians and he has proof ,but he disappeared with his evidence after making wild accusations. Call the brother and ask him what happened to Chief ,He said he has overwhelming evidence that Jammeh or the APRC had nothing to do with it. I did not say it ,so please interview your fellow compatriot Kemo Cham. He will tell you all the people associated with his arrest unless he is just as full of shiit as you all".
So you give Kemo Cham credibility on the story only because he spoke about something you like to hear... trying to exonerate your leader... besides you must give us the link to Kemo's story where he said that if you are going to make such allegations.
Oh by the way, before you forget Kemo might have been working for your State Newspaper the observer when he said that IF HE IN FACT DID SAY THAT... It was the similar thing Saja Taal, Buba Baldeh, Deda Halake and others who worked under Jammeh said before they broke with him. Read from Kemo Cham's blog http://justiceforthepress.blogspot.com/ and please tell us what you are reading there.
"First of all my dear friend,It was a rental car according to sources quite possibly a cab. The only cars runing around Gambia without Licence Plates do have Licence Plates , The star on the front indicates what military personell is occupying that vehicle , Everyone knows whose cars they are anyways. Oh really, how do you know it was a rental car??? do you have inside information that we need to know? This is why I believed either you have directly worked for this Rogue regime as a GREEN BOY or you have inside knowledge of how dubious this regime operates... unless you are making up stories here... You are Defending criminals MOE.. people who will do anything to stay in power and keep their hands on our national resources period.
"That is after every Tom Dick and Harry is pointing accusing fingers at him ,well not just accusing ,blaming him for it. I doubt if he had anything to do with the assassination of Deyda for several reasons. It will be foolish to get rid of a man who he had an appointment with the next day, the crime was perpetuated by a very calculating individual like Ya'll".
"They can only investigate at their capacity and throw the towel down if it becomes an unsolved mystery or as the case is interference.Check you state retard boy ,tell me how many cases are unsolved in America and then we can talk".
Unbelievable MOE. I don't know what world you live in really. So simply because they have been blamed they will not investigate fully or allow others to do so... Or by the way didn't the international community offer to investigate the killings and the government refused?
Moe the buck stops with the President and regardless of whether he is blamed or not he has a moral duty to investigate crimes. By the way Deyda's appointment with the President was either a set up to eliminate the man or simply a coverup story... He never saw eye to eye with Deyda... he was his fiercest critique just so you know that...
"The sad thing is most of you clowns are taking advantage of the fact that the Babylonian public interest is to see instability ,chaos and war in Africa, this has been the trend since after independence my dear friends,The way I see it Africa may be free from the clutches of colonization but are we truly free Demba?".
PLEASE!!!!... Stop blaming the West or Baylon as you call it... Africa had their independence for decades now and we still cry after spill milk... It is time we take responsibility and work for Africa... How could you continue to blame the West when each African leader who comes to power wants to die in power? I guess that is what your leader does best... blame the West... Well they pretty much went through the same thing but took over and look after their people.... Greed and ignorance, and leadership failure is what is keeping Africa down period... Just like the KING in Banjul... living large while the rest of the people are suffering... It is a shame for you to defend the defenseless here...
Moe no amount of excuse will free the oppressor from the ultimate price... where is Nino veira of Bissau, Where is Charles Taylor, most recently where is Captain Dade of Guinea? your native country....
