We have received insider, confidential and reliable information from the Gambia that President Jammeh has just resigned following a palace coup executed by the State Guard. Dr. Isatou Njie Saidy is the Acting Vice President, and a Human Rights Committee has been announced to review the past human rights abuses, give recommendations, and formulate a new human rights policy for the government. Just can't believe what I am reading... For further information on this please visit the Freedom Newspaper.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

So, are you wishing a coup in Gambia? Congrats.... It amazes me people still think Gambian's problems are Person A or Person B. People make objections about regime. And their solution is another coup. |

Palace coup is not the same as that barbaric invasion by Yaya Jammeh and co bandits on 22 July 1994.
Failing to leave that seat at peace time in one good piece, there are risks that Yaya Jammeh is made to get unseated in pieces. |

Bro Kay,
I must say, yours was the best! I think mine was too scary, "heavy" like described by an activist lawyer who sent me a private mail after reading it.
In any way, keep up the excellent job in your timely analysis of political events. Of late, I 've been keeping a rack!

Gambiabev, I think the good course for gambians is to help strengthened the main opposition United Democratic Party by donating money and massively voting for it in 2011. Jammeh can still be defeated at the polls but it needs a lot of commitment and collective dedication on the part of Gambians to happen.
Coups are not only illegal but also abhorrent in a civilised society.
Thanks |
