hello everyone, how is the day. It looks like my prayers will be answered. the little school that I help needed a new classroom and builder and his wife want to go to gambia and build it.
Here are my questions.
Can i buy bricks ready made in Gambia, or do we buy the materials and make them ourselves. what cost should I look at paying.
Has anyone else built something like this.
because it is a room added onto another room, it is not classed as a new build. i will definately keep everyone posted.
BUT OPERATION BUILD A CLASSROOM IS MOVING. VIMTOS ON THE BEACH
Greetings to you Jambo. Cheapest way to build is to buy cement, sand (by the lorry load) etc and get a blockmaker to make the blocks on site. You will probably be paying around D3 per block and a good maker should be able to make around 280-300 blocks per day. Just ensure that the mix is a strong one as a lot of blockmakers try to get away with too many blocks per bag of cement. You should calculate around 30-35 blocks per bag. Hope this info is helpful. Good luck.
