This is definitely unseamly behaviour in a public place by two people who should know better,if the facts are as stated in the article are accurate.

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.

I think they should be prosecuted to the full extend of the law. Totally unacceptable in my opinion.

In as much as I would argue that tourism could be a blessing for the Gambia in terms of foreign exchange earnings as well as job creation for the youths; thus, it could be a pain in the rear if mechanisms to protect the locals are not well in place.
