It emerged from the recent visit of Senegal's Abdul- Laye Wade, that he agreed handing over to Gambia's Abdul-Aziz Junkung Jammeh those the two of them call Gambian Criminals hiding in Senegal. What is not clear relates how the two Abdulls conceived "criminality." Something is so seriously wrong with the two men that needs looking at in some detail.

Did Abdul Aziz Junkung Jammeh drip honey in the throat of Abdul-Laye Wade?

Karamba, I think President Wade's statement that he has "...given directives that if the Gambian government identifies any criminals, they could come and get them" is a really thorny statement, easier said than done. I am sure he did not give a blank check where Gambian security forces could be seen chasing down suspected Gambian criminals in the streets of Senegal. Senegal would be considered outside the jurisdiction of the Gambian law enforcement, and Senegalese law ( and sovereignty) wouldn't allow Gambian forces to directly apprehend alleged criminals within the Senegalese border except perhaps in a 'hot pursuit'. The Gambian law enforcement at best will have to work with their Senegalese counterparts in within the framework of extradition agreements where applicable. Furthermore, Wade has said categorically that "political dissidents will not be surrendered". Since almost all of those listed by the Jammeh regime as "criminals" almost all will qualify as "political dissidents" entitled to protection under international law, Wade's statement only amounts to a politcal and diplomatic rhetoric that holds no substantive guarantees...

Kay,

Lot of thanks for this very clear projection. There is no doubt that given his way out, killer Jammeh will want to have all the heads placed before his Kanilai Majesty to decide when to cut them off. Some times it is hard trusting Abdul-Laye Wade too. He is capable of settling on deals. His advances in Guinea earned him lot of chip. Both Abdul Wade and Abdul Aziz Junkung would want o have their children inherit a national position of president. That is worrying. They are both big hurdles for the region and no less their countries. This two are due for good sweep from where they have plugged on for too long. Jammeh is a particular rotten element to keep as Gambian leader. Big man has to start reasoning and to stop dreaming. He is just not fit for purpose.

Plus, he wants to stay murdering those who disagree with him. That is so bad to bear.

Dalton1,

Lot more thanks and respect to you on your part. This criminal Yaya Jammeh does not only stand to be exposed. We have to reject him in total. Who is this criminal parading before us as though he hypnotised a whole nation of good people? This is a matter of day and night affair until the criminal gets unloading. His wicked desire to spark fire over the blessed land and people of Gambia will never come to be. He's got to go. Once out, people are capable of sorting out the best fit for our land and diverse people. Yaya has nothing to offer Gambia. He is big time terror and cruel rogue who is ready to snatch everything the sun shines on in little Gambia. Say no to banditory and get the criminals packing once and for good.

Well said bro. Karamba.

The train is moving fast ahead though...sometimes makes me think our journey is very long.

Happy new year to you and yours.

The journey, Dalton1,is no longer far away from where it ends. Though Yaya is seen in physical appearance, a close watch revaels his skeletal reality. What remains in his unlawful and cruel reign of terror is nothing he will ever enjoy. His trouble days are taking a toll. Have no doubt about that. People pretend but Yaya knows the alarm bells of hell keep him awoken most times. He knew how to start the game but does not know how to end it. In that way, the game ends without his will. Wicked people deserve no place.

Totally agree bro. I believe truly it is an "IDLE" state house without doubt; a palace that don't deal with pertinent issues, and lives by terror and criminal activities. If for anything, I think the signs are seen beyond doubt: That this administration is standing on pseudo pillars and pretending to be there, when the wooden pillars are all rotten to the dust. The latest ofcourse as seen is the fact that Jammeh turned his swords to his closest allies. Better said by another wisdom man years ago, they come for you at day, and another at night. Who else is safe now?

Any ways, keep your pen sharp...and be ready to blow the trumphet aloud once the last monster among the criminal gang bites the dust..finally, and freedom at last! What a fall I can hear tearing sky waves into hrizons....
