COP15: Rich and poor still far apart
The rich and poor countries are still far apart at COP15, with the European Union saying the United States and China must move.
Some progress has been made during the night’s climate negotiations, but rich and poor countries are still far apart, according to a centrally-placed source at the negotiations.
Leaders and negotiators worked overnight to produce a new draft agreement which calls for global temperature rise of nor more than two degrees and USD 100 billion in long-term aid for the poorest countries..... http://politiken.dk/newsinenglish/article863164.ece

"The US is ready to enter into an agreement today, but that everybody must give admissions.
We are at rennet dare for time and nobody land will get all what they have come after.
We must have a mechanism there which make that we can measure whether we live up to the demands we put.
Otherwise it will be an empty agreement.
The US lives up to our responsibility for the climatic changes."

"Money is important, and the developing countries need them in order to secure their forests and environment.
But it's also important that we "rich" countries do not think that we give the poor alms.
We do not.
We give them what we owe them, because of our emisions.
Brazil is willing to give more money. "
Lula believes in God and miracles, and he'd like to participate in arranging miracles.
He doesn't want to sign an agreement, it's to be the correct agreement.
"It isn't reasonable that the developing countries are to sacrifice more."
