Mansasulu,
Your observation of the spillover effect should something go wrong with Guinea hits hard on. These bandits who shamelessly rob nations and expect good people to keep quiet need nobody reminding them of their open criminality. Dadis Camara and Yaya Jemus Jammeh are of the same breed of creatures. Who would have chosen Yaya Jammeh village leader without armed invasion?
When we address issues like what now obtains in Guinea, let us simply plot in Gambia and see how the jig-saw fits so tightly. People of Guinea and Gambia are going through very hard times and those who choose pretending about that need help.
Let the bandits of Guinea and Gambia give up. They are not fit neither chosen to govern. |

| I pondered long and hard about the situation in Guinea and frankly did not see much difference in our collective predicament [my self included]. Even in the absence of a functioning 'figure head' [we] the people are still cowed to exercise self determination. |

I can only make a judgement on what has been written, if you omit links that would lead to further discussion, assuming of course that there are any, then on what has been written must judgement be made. Can it be otherwise?

| You need to be prepared before jumping into a thread. Many atimes post are made with the assumption that the members have some background knowledge on the subject matter. At least that the assumption I make before I post stuff. You didn't ask for my source instead you accused of having NO EVIDENCE. |

You are correct, but it amounts to the same thing, incomplete information given to post a reply,I am not trying to lay blame at your door, but its only fair for you to acknowledge that your posting was incomplete and therefore could only be answered on the information as posted.

The country appears to be in a big mess, with everyone covering their backs,Has there been any news of the President having been seen alive? at one stage it was thought that he had been killed but it was not yet the time to release that news. This is the latest that I could find (This author appears to be following the story closely,By RUKMINI CALLIMACHI | Posted: Friday, December 11, 2009 7:00 am |)
A paragraph in this piece reads
"Camara has not spoken since he was shot, leading many to believe that he is seriously wounded and still in a coma. The junta, however, has denied such reports, repeatedly announcing that Camara is "doing well" and is due to return soon."
Wait and see I suppose.
This link to the correspondent shows what information he has been able to get.

Toubab,
There is so much beef to bite on and therefore your take on this matter of Mansasulu not quoing sources is a petty twist amounting to bully. What is your own message about telling the world Mansa failed to quote? For all that stays real, this thread relates vital line of information that Mansa passed on.

Come on now a bully ? how can I be a bully by observing that if a posting had been filled with a little more information then my posting would have been less snappy,it is only a "petty twist" is quite correct and no big deal, but as usual its the white man that is to blame for everything in Africa being in a condition that could be better, africans Oh no, all is rosey everywhere, this has detracted from a discussion of the known facts where responsibility must be laid at the feet of the Africans responsible,in this topic that I have sidelined (yes my fault ! I am to blame )if an African leader chooses to hire contractots,"speaking English and two other languages which sounded like Hebrew and Afrikaans." that's his choice, not the choice of the "contractors" who do their "work" for money like everybody else.Should the leader have hired only black men? At the moment there is insufficient information available on the topic to give a balanced view, the only expert appears to be the AP correspondent,

Toubab1020,
So much about your frequency of using heavy boot sound and chasing Mansasulu over such trivial matter like not quoting a source. Now you are stating about black man blaming white man for terror contract. For all that we have seen, Mansa is no way the author of what came up from the source under your keen scrutiny. Whoever chose the use of "white men" (the principal author) and publishers are responsible for that.
You will be seen as bully by beating the hard ground upon which Mansasulu stands as he simply signposts and not taking any responsibility for material under the scope of your wider viewing glasses.
Don't you see some bit of bully muscles in that stride? |

A. yes, but I could not have known that from Mansasulu's posting
Now you are stating about black man blaming white man for terror contract,
A.not at all the employeers choice like not quoting a source.
A.Trivial yes,but to the readers perception as to how to answer important.
Mansa is no way the author of what came up from the source under your keen scrutiny
A. I never said he was,he did however post without leaving a link to what he was alluding to
You will be seen as bully by beating the hard ground upon which Mansasulu stands as he simply signposts and not taking any responsibility for material under the scope of your wider viewing glasses.
A. If you mean that I was annoyed by Mansasulu singleing out white men as being the instigators of the problem, instead of the countries governing structure then, yes.
Don't you see some bit of bully muscles in that stride?
A. If that is your perception then so be it.
Finally, because this insignificant matter of "no link" has become such a very heavy topic .I hope that I am still in good time with Mansasulu and any feeling that he may have found to be personal was not intended.
Karamba I hope you now feel satisfied and the matter can rest? |

Toubab1020,
Surely, no hard feeling from my end. Thank you for your tolerance and sincere disposition. I have no doubt Mansa will find no trouble resting the matters. Wasn't mind so to put; just a matter of interest. More respects to you Toubab1020. |

Toubab
Western, now China, involvement in African domestic affairs is well documented in the history of Africa. Even, big corporations having interests in particularly natural resources use their influence, in some cases, they take side in conflicts. So why is it big surprise when mansa refers that?

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |
