I think the situation in Gambia could be characterized as being very volatile...

There appears to be a big underlying problem exactly what it is I don't know,to deal with it maybe that is why H.E. did not go to france as he intended, time will tell,I also think that the word volatile should not be used lightly in the light of the forthcoming tourist season,to add yet another reason to make tourists think twice about a holiday in The Gambia in addition to the financial insecurity that many people from overseas are feeling at the moment would do no one any good.

2bab,

Something was biting and grinding inside Jammeh's heart clock.

Anyways, I am not privy to anything more than what is reported in the papers but I fear "insecurity" has gripped the grandbuba man. In short, 'a bad workman will quarrel with his tools,' that is to say if the mallet is not too long, a hammer is too short; if a hacksaw is not too noisy, a z-saw is too silent; and if a file is not too rough, sandpaper is too smooth...this one wasn't funny to me because I can sense someone ala Jammeh was acting with impulse .

Jesssssssssus Christ!

He wasn't only removed but demoted to "private."

What must he have done?

I am sure something big.

I hope he wasn't trying to be loyal to his former Boss, former CDS LT Tamba. May be day will break someday and if we are alive, some of these people will narrate their ordeals to us.

yap ! cheap generals one a butut all of them , none worth his salt so they get played with like chess pieces ;worst than the Zombies that Fella Ransome Kuti used to lampoon in his songs. You know what; Yahya is showing us what sort of army we have and it is a nonsense one, where else do you have generals promoted like the ranks are charitable offers and then get kicked out in these ignominious fashions , demoted my boots! This is a farcical set up and we are yet to see the full show. Before he is finished he would have batted his own wicket then the show would roll up for good. I just failed to be amazed by the man's crash *****-icy if I may used the word, but then like all silly moves this would not serve any purpose except creating a deepening divide in the security system and that I say would be the cause of his downfall. The sky was what he promised them and having sent them there he wasted no time to sending them on a tumbling fall yes man. He never fails his promise and this is one of them. The higher they climb that bogus ladder, the harder they fall,......on and on as sang by a famous reggae star , whose name I cannot remember now.

Well done T1020 it was the song I had in mind , I do think this is so very mad and bad ,making it so sad a trick being played on our young men back home. It seems to me that in their own minds they are serving the nation with all they had but getting a very raw deal from their commander in chief . Confusion doth come visiting the Gambian National Army, who once were the pride of the nation but now are on the lowest rungs of honor as in them now resides scorn of the society and disdained by the boss, where then do they turn to, I wonder.
