I have just been told that HE has freed the six journalists this evening! Presidential pardon?

By him doing that proves how deep his meddling hands play behind the scenes. This is more shameful for a tyrant. I heard the news too, Momodou. He is bound to compensate the innocent rather than splashing laundered money to feed Taiwanese. What a shame!!

Great news Momodou!! It's not April 1st today is it? No it ain't. The most important thing was that the brave six walked out of jail with their integrity in tact and without having to bow down to tyranny. Well done to the Sheikh. He is human after all or is he done playing his games with Gaddafi? What happened Moe? The Sheikh is becoming too predictable.

Good news for the release of these brave men. Oh well, election 2011 campaign has already began with Jammeh...while the move to release the journalists is hailed in good faith, carefulness must be exercised over the excitement of their release...because in Jammeh's mind, he released them as pardon..but "freedom" and "liberty" shouldn't be bargained for or negotiated at all. These are rights that each and every human is entitled to....hence the late Aba . Lincoln stated it right that we are all created equal before God. They were not wrong to be there in the first place. Therefore, it should be accompanied with an unconditional apology and compensation to them and their families at large...and a vow never to repeat it again. Added to that, the ethics committee of the judiciary should look into the matter of the justice who presided over the case.

Thanks but no Moe!! I do not fancy the Sheikh's job for a second. No one can eat me, dead or alive. My flesh is too bitter. Stop the witch business ok. What was the Sheikh and Gaddafi brewing? It certainly was not Mbass, Saddaam or Gunpowder.

Good news. Thanks Chairman for your courage to release the journalists. They should not have been there in the first place; but I guess it is never too late to do the right thing...

Fantastic news!

It has been announced on the bbc web site too.

Them should never have been in prison in the first place, but I am happy to hear they are free.
