This is Futa Djallon proper. I grew up dancing to this type of fulani music. Thanks bro. you have taken me down memory lane. |

Hi Mawdo Kons,
Achuu deh! Wonah maideh tan wulleh teh. bandam, ah jaramadeh. Allah jaramah, onn fof onjaramah.
It is a nostalgic piece of video. Indeed, very touching. Ours is truly a rich culture. That’s why when we find ourselves trapped in different cultures; it will be true that we virtually hurt our values in some ways. Nonetheless, we learn some other cultures in substitute but the replacement cannot truly balance out own true culture. I am sure it is the same for many others. Others like Ghanda, Lalo Kebba, Malang Bugar, Oumu Sanghareh, and the many on that unending list are just genius in what they do best –traditional music, the very Tupacs and Bob Marleys of cultures.
The group predominant in the Senegambia area, under the leadership of “Mahmuud chorubal” is very famous. They hailed from Guinea and have championed the Fulbe culture playing the flute, the calabash (wooden bowl) and et cetera. The fiddle is another. Its melodious strings can send you weeping hard on yourself. Musicians like Jamo Jawel (from my own backyard), Juldeh Camara and many others have been truly instrumental in promoting the Fulbe Music.
The poem below (Stanza) written by Aziz Jigo truly captured nostalgia.

Oh! Mother Africa I missed the Muezzin's invitation for prayers I never heard of the melodious neighs behind my ranch Missing the greetings of the heart and not the teeth My bone-deep feeling lies on your beautiful vegetation, But that inherited virtue is giving birth to chaos.
