Thanks for sharing the audio of this historic occasion. I look forward to seeing the DVD of the events. Please inform us where one could order the DVD.

By the way, I observed that one of the Jalis Alhaji Manjoko Suso has mixed the old Ghana Empire (Wagadou) with present Republic of Ghana when he mentioned Kumasi in Ghana.
The Republic of Ghana is named after ancient Ghana (4th – 13th Century) which was approximately 500 miles (800 km) north of the present Ghana, and is said to occupy the area between Rivers Senegal and Niger.

Thanks for setting straight Alh Manjago's mixing of old Ghana Empire and the present day Ghana and you've just saved me from wiring him the 4k euros he wanted(lol).
I will keep you posted on the availability of the DVD.

| gainde, you know this Suso kunda jali folks are grafty. I can manage better history than that. Amean 4oo euros for telling bunkas! quiet fascinating. he should have done his home work properly. you see the Camara's are now very vigilant, i will disquise myself as a jali and borrow a kora and get down in Denmark dress in Keba Tabanda's waranba. mimic some Camara song and demand 2000 euros. is it that simple? Ala leka jaliya daah. oh yeah. |
