The occassion marked by eating of turkey does have importance to its existence. According to naration, the Indian (natives) farmers were rewarded for their farm produce yearly. The culture of appreciation moved slowly, surely, to a height extended in all works of lives. The children will appreciate their parents; the head of state will appreciate his military; the humans will appreciate God; readers will appreciate forums and news outlets; and et cetera et cetera. As it denotes, and it couldn't be any simpler in explanation, thanks-giving, meaning giving back thanks to a favor done. Appreciation is a virtue. It is the expression of content, inner feeling, and love in reciprocal to favors done. It could be as priceless as just 'thank you.' It could be in cash or kind. It could be renewal of love, loyalty or committment to the dream of togetherness. The other factors that plays -beliefs, agreable do have a lot of stipulations that preaches love, appreciation and a lot more. Therefore, one cannot be wrong to express thanks to all, whether done on the chosen day, before it or after. What is important is being sincere and truly appreciative of favors done. I am so all possess some qualities that deserve a pat on the back.

Except our new professor in town, Professor Dr. Yaya, a, b, c, d, e, f.......z, 0, 1, 2......(infinity of titles). oops!

I take this opportunity to extend a message of thanks-giving to all. May Almighty God give us true guidance and protect from all diseases of the heart. Amen!

Becareful of the turkey bones. (Jokes!)

Regards,
Dalton

Ah yes Thanksgiving, commemorating when the native Americans shared food with the European settlers during one hard winter.

Then the European settlers repaid it with stealing the land, killing the people, etc...

Hmmm...

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.
