A mighty tree has fallen leaving a wide chasm in the world of music and African politics, her mark an indelible one though shall remain. She stood with the resistance movements in Africa and even America and hers is of the faces and voices of those who stood up against tyranny. Now that she has moved on we can only pray for her to get eternal peace and in remembering her virtuous past hope others shall emulate her and thus bring our race to higher heights rather than dumping it to the rotten levels that other are still busy trying to sink us down to.I remember Mariam mama Africa in the Gambia with an African American husband ,those where the days of the struggle which in many ways has now culminated in getting a black man in the White House today. We shall always remember Mama Africa, her songs would be her legacy and history has surely recorded her passage through the charts of life, a truly wonderful woman.I so did love her.

In this song, there is a message for Gambians; especially those in open self denial about killings carried out by the "Soldiers with a Difference." How different are tyrants of all form and essence? Such is the power of clear vision.

Listen to the words in the song and get the message.

Thank you Momodou.
