He needs to cut off all forms of funding to Africa.

Obama states that: .....but any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel’s identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognized and defensible borders. Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided.

'Secure, recognised and defensible borders'.... Does that mean that they're going to actually stop encroaching?

mansasulu i think you are little bit hard, but on other hand you are right with many reason.
So all those expecting again from big cakes should be wiser and see that time of changing has come.

This global crisis some time should not see too negatively because this could be a chance for many to stand and find another way out.
more over it has being saying to us that "after every hard-ship there will be a release.

What the politicians are missing is that Our problem at present is not the restrained granting of credit of the banks, but the absorbed consumer behaviour of the commoners.
Motto. If money doesn't come in to my pocket then it cant also get it out.

Formby, bacause of the culture of rampant corruption in Africa. The people who are meant to get the aid dont get it so why keep sending aid for the corrupt scoundrels to continue their crimes. Please watch Sorius Samura's new documentary on the subject.

In a way, the global financial crisis is good for Africa because it means less and less aid from the donor countries. The BBC reports that over the past 50 years, over $600 BILLION dollars was sent to Africa in Aid and look at where we are today. It also reports that we represent ONLY 1% in global trade...ONE PERCENT!!!

Trust me if we dont quit begging we will never be motivated to trade among ourselves and feed ourselves.

I take your point, but the problem is compounded by limited trade opportunities, especially with Europe which ringfences agricultural trade under the CAP. Trade not aid, as the old saying goes. African leaders have often seen leadership as a pocket-lining job rather than a role for the common good but any attempt to undermine (or correct) that by the west is spun as 'the colonist recolonising'. That's how Mugabe has got away with his greedy, murderous regime for so long. There really needs to be more teeth to African trading blocs (such as Ecowas) and a more bullish, long-term attitude to the naturally occuring wealth resources by African nations. What the west did once in Africa, China is doing now.
