Gambians are well known for sharing their food with complete strangers. i don't know if the scotish folks are the same or not. i know the English do if it is not puuding.
Sharing ones food increase community cohesion aand goodwill. this practise may now be facing out due to the Karama kunda eating in close doors. talkless of the sanyang kunda. it may help foster unity and oneness if you take the initiative and invite a freind for lunch or diner. this is an easy way to one's heart. Gambians in sweden, i respect you guys. many of you are friendly and highly cultured. keep it up. the British are very kind with tea and bisuits and the Arabs are also kind with their food esecailly dates and black tea. we gambians are also kind with waraga heey. lets look out for each other.

Ramadan is gotten to the Touray-kunda- man; so he talks about food to ease his hunger. But don’t worry the Ramadan is just one month.

Janko,
Personally, when I am hungry.I am not a "strict Christian" I know that some strict Christians keep fast at certain times of the year and that Roman Catholics eat fish on Fridays ,but I cannot tell you exactly when,I have a feeling that someone on bantaba will be able to answer.

Janko, we will be eating in under two hours time, 19:36. toubab, the karama kunda folks are well known for their eating in secure places.. in sierra leon then we use to eat each to your plate, but in the gambia people eat as a family, sharing one bowl. this increase brotherhood. i don't know about the health side of it, but it is lovely.
the Toubabs will dish out a portion in a plate and they will eat in their own plate, similar to the sierra leonians. but sharing food is good, try inviting your neigbour for tea or something.

simple is good, is right, eating round one bowl, i love it and sharing and chatting with friends and family . a family who eats together stays together.
personally i prefer it rather than all the parafinalia of setting tables table clothes cutlery etc etc etc...
