A close family member of mine was arrested in connection with the alleged coup! They had absolutely nothing to do with it. All they did was just have normal conversation about the current state the APRC and how corrupt it is. Basically, they've been arrested for the same reasons those journalists were arrested for!!!! which I'm guessing is not being given the freedom to speak freely and openly. My relative will have been there for 4 weeks this friday. Its been very difficult for my family as we don't know whats going on or why they were arrested.

We've been hearing very distressing stories/rumours about what could or is possibly happening in there. The sad thing is that theres absolutely nothing anyone can do.

Do anyone have any idea of what one might do in a situation like this? I've tried contacting Amnesty Internation but to avail

Demo, am so sorry to hear this.In a dictatorial regime, the presidents personal safety is more important than the constitution and even the populace.Thats way they can kill at freewill without any investigation.I think the only thing you and your family can do right now is to pray and leave every thing in the hand of God.

Accept my sympathy.I know how stressful it can be.

Try not to do anything that might cause trouble for the family. Do they need money for transport that might have to travel, food, rent. I am trying to be general here, but if you have people who are going to be travelling let them advise what you need to do.
I would do this, I would not involve the embassies in Europe to look into this for you good cause questions to be asked of the family.
THINK POSITIVE STAY FOCUSED

Rest assured with Foroyaa. Give them the names and all information needed. It's as good as Amnesty International and even more effective indeed.

Just give it a cance and make sure that al information is legitimate.

Many people are giving them information that are hard to authenticate these days. That's why I am prudent but not doubting you. Good luck.
