Just after announcing the Time Table from Military Transition to Civilian Rule, Commander of the coup Yahya Jammeh fell down at the Independent Stadium Bakau, in front of a large crowd.
One of the local news translators Alhaj Mansour Njie broke the news this way: "Ganaw bim danel kaadu gi, njeeti rewmi dal di aaga soof." That was a respectful way of saying the Head of State fell down soon after delivering his intention to stay on ruling beyond the transition period. In actual fact, there was never a transition. Does anyone remember this Independent Stadium Bakau event?
