I think there are fundamental management issues going wrong

1. This is a work related issue that unfortunately ended in a police case without HUman Resources Knowing. I have reason to doubt that because, the lady has alledged to have been suspended and then recalled. Certainly that suspension would have been authorised by HR.

2. For the HR Manager to say he was not informed but heard of it and do nothing, is incompetence. This is work place matter and therefore of legitimate HR interest.

3. If the man is alledged to have undressed many times, why has she not shouted and called attention to her?

4. Why was the lady recalled from a suspension term? Was that suspension instigated by the defendant in this case? If so HR should investigate that suspension again and look for a chain of events leading to the suspension.

5. Have there been previous allegations against the man or are they scared to come forward and why?

6. Do the two have a working relationship or supervisory roles?

There is no smoke without fire.

Everyone is innocent until proven guilty. We will watch this case wind up as a nuisance. I hope i am wrong and justice is served

interesting analysis kondo. but the man here is very suspect. we know of powerful men in our civil and private sector harrassing young and beautiful secretaries on many occassions. in this case the lady is in her fourties, that is a unique case. usually those busuwers go after under twenty attractive employees. we shall see how matters unfold. trow jawneh needs to take this case seriously.

This lady should retain a private lawyer and file a civil suit (are there sexual harassment laws in the Gambia?). The commencement of a suit will trigger an investigation by her lawyer. The man's telephone records should be subpoenaed from the telephone company and used as evidence. The telephone records should be there somewhere in the company's data base, and should be discoverable.
It is very likely that both the woman and the man have talked to other people about this matter in private. People hardly keep anything to themselves, even potentially damaging information. Lawyers know how to find witnesses. There might be other women who have been or know someone who has been a similar victim of this man, or people who know about his prior similar conduct(s). All of those could be located as potential witnesses.
This incident could be the tip of the iceberg about a very sinister man. But unless you drag him to court and put him under the microscope, he might remain elusive.
Of course, "...civilized people consume one another by the due process of law...".

Caveat: This is not a legal advice. I am not an attorney. If anyone needs legal advice, please see a licensed attorney.
