I believe he is up to something. I am still having trouble wrapping my head around all the noise about these perceived security threats.

Is this another Iraq in the making. Saddam had a Republican Guard etc. Let there be peace all over the continent. I think we need to invest in education. In the last exams half the students failed.

If we cant improve education, to have skills, what that means is more people on the streets idling a recipe for strife. A hungry man is an angry man.

mansa, you may have known already that the Gambia is no exception to the sad trend of wasting our resources on useless weapond on the basis of perceive security threats. we spend 30% of our fiscal budget on security expenditure. today, morocco and syria are acting the fool by buying heavy russian and american with french fighter jets for security reasons. syria has spend 1.3billion dollars on this figter jets. whilst ,the citizen are starving ,this devil acomplishes are wasting their county's resources on weaponds. yahya is also doing the same. the sad things is that aid from developed countries are link with buying weaponds and other expensive unncessary equipments. may be when we have you in power things may change. this is part of the reason i labour to find out what a pdois government will do. will they spend on security just like yahya and scores of third world leaders? nkurumah left huge debt in ghana by the time he was over thrown ,will the pdois go by the same line in emulating some of nkurumahs policies.? only time will tel. i wish those people should come to power so that ,we can taste the pudding.

Mansa & uncle Suntou,

It is a scary tale. I like Sidia Jatta's argument truly.

I for once will ask myself -whose safety are we concerned about?

If it is the entirety of the Gambian populace, and not only the administrator clinging onto HIV aids cure, then the plight of the many victims should be a red flag.
