Foroyaa Writes to Chief Justice
Foroyaa will today deliver a letter to the office of the Chief Justice for redress for the
arbitrary order by the President of the Kombo Central district Tribunal to stop reporters from reporting on proceedings of the tribunal.
On Wednesday, 2 April, as soon as the President of the District Tribunal, Seyfo Dembo Santang Bojang, took his seat, he warned journalists to desist from reporting cases presided over by him or risk being sent to jail.
The decision of Chief Justice will be made known to our readers.

| Did i not tell you Nyari that in Jammeh's Gambia "the Chief is the law within his local area". I guess if he was fairly dispensing justice then he need not have worried about journalists reporting cases he presided over. I hope the Chief Justice will take note of a dictatorship in the making. |

I patiently await the day the chief dance to Jammeh's injustices. What goes round comes round and they will all drink their own muddy water. It is only a matter of time before they fall one after another.
I just can't figure how blind people can be to their predecessors demise. What power is worth losing your dignity? is beyond me.

My friends lets give the chief a break!Who does not know the Gambia of today?
Is it not a matter of who pleases the Big oga most?What do we expect the poor brainwashed chief to do?Have we almost forgotten that this was the same Dembo Santang Bojang who was deputy inspector general of police in the ppp era?Voted into office by the people of Brikama through a fair ballot system?Yet again now dancing without stop when Jammeh's drum is beaten?He is only doing his Job to a system that engolves him for God's shake!
If this same man turns out dancing to the tune played by his new boss as most official now do, who else can say otherwise?He started forgetting the people who voted him into office because they thought he was best suited for the post of head chief most partly due to his policing experiance.Now, when the status quo changes, no wonder he can only keep his job (which he badly wants to keep at any cost even by turning against the very people who put their trust in him) by pleasing only one Man---BIG OGA not the people anymore.
But look fellas, we are all witnessing a Gambia where Man can quickly turn into a zombre overnight.This is the undisputable truth period.
God bless The Gambia and Her oppressed people!

Janyanfara, you summed up everything when you said the man will do anything to keep his job event against his own blood. Yes, that is really what it takes to temporary keep a position in the Jammeh administration.
Having witness Gambia becoming a survival of the fitest, we must turn our lines of attack towards our own people. Look, Jammeh does not make Gambia what it is all by himself. It is people like Dembo who are actually ruining our democracy and the little civility left in our people.
We have all these selfish people trying to take advantage of the weakness we have in our President and they continue to exploit our nation and people.
Jammeh is yes functionally deficient, but the people around him are really worst. These people act barbaric and destructive. How could Jammeh have any respect for anyone of them if he knows there is no iota of dignity and trust left in them. I wonder what happen to all these people?
I just can't figure it out. May be am naive or brainwash as well. Gosh this drives me insane. |
