Mbay,

It is your responsibility, as a parent, to ensure that your daughter does NOT drive in The Gambia. Alright, it is illegal to drive alone at that age in Germany, but she is free to do just that in The Gambia with the possibility of killing somebody or herself for that matter?

We shouldn't just let our kids do what they feel like doing! Tough love is good at times!!

In UK driving age is 17, there are moves to make it 18.

Personally I would like to see ALL adult persuits having a legal age of 18. This is when law recognises us as being responsbile for our actions.

In Gambia I dont feel it would be wise for any inexperienced person to drive at all.

The risk of injuring a pedestrian in the crowded streets is very high. Also the risk of being asked for bribes etc is high.

Alot of insurances dont cover under 21 or even under 25 to drive abroad.

My advice would be to advise her NOT to drive.

Mbay, in Germany you get your driving license at 18. Why does your daughter own it?

Please listen to Ramou's advice. There is not as much traffic in Gambia as in Germany, but I wouldn't let my daughter drive there if she was an unexperienced driver - for her own safety and for the safety of others.

So, das war das. Nun wünsche ich Dir frohe Ostern!

Thanks you both, this is indeed fair and good advice from you.
meanwhile the air is clear, thanks her Granny and Aunt intervention.
I had anxiety experienced my self in 90s for driving in Gambia (kombo).
That's why when i drive in that areas then it most be.
In upper rivers I've not that much problems because there is not that much crowd of peoples, though another solicitudes there are animals.
yes driving is dangerous and cagey some time is not enough to prevent.

again I thanks you.
