I found this article on brain drain from Observer, check it out from this link:

You know, I have lots of friends who have either obtained their Bachelors, Masters, PHDs or are in the process of obtaining one. Most had intended or are planning to go back upon graduating. The sad thing is though, some end up changing their minds and decide to stay here or wherever they're in other parts of the world, due to influences engineered by political situations at home, feedbacks from mates, the ever degrading Media or their own personal reasons. I'm not condoning to or against such decisions since people's situations are far different apart and besides, one has every right to do whatever one wants. But, this seems to be affecting our continent a lot. Most of Africa's intellectuals and smart citizens end up contributing to the development of the West instead of their own backyard. What do you all thing about this? The debate is on....

I suppose there can be a debate on something that everybody agrees is happening, the reason it is happening is money, skill, good equipment,Pappa you coming from the USA know all about the very very good living that doctors can make in the US ,why should they return to a place where they will not be rewarded for their skills and not be able to do a good job because of poor equipment and facilities, no contest!

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.
