Let us on Bantaba remember Nelson Mandela and wish him happy 89th birthday today.

We all know Nelson gave the majority of his years (1944 - 1994) to fighting apartheid & injustices. An inspiring example to what can be achieved in a 'struggle' with complete unity.

Thanks Newfy - an excellent write up & enjoyable link.
It would be great if there were a DVD available from the fifty soccar stars. I'm sure the shrewed Mandela will have secured funds for his South Africa childrens fund that he started in 1994.
Or maybe he was busy tapping Muhammad Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank, re the micro-credit institution.
I see many old veterans amongst the well wishers & that they played Peter Gabriel 'Biko' if only Steve Biko could have been there on the day!
I still have my original copy of 'Biko' so I must be 'old-timer' also!
