Does anyone know where I can get a textbook to learn Mandinka? I have a few key phrases from guidebooks and the rest I picked up, but it would be much easier to learn if I could just read it.
Someone in Gambia may be of help. The place to contact is WEC Mission in Sibanor. They have some books in Mandinka. Another source will be the defunct Non-Formal-Education in Banjul. One person you may like to contact is Sidia Jatta, the Member of Parliament for Wuli. Sidia apart from his political interest is a seasoned scholar and linguist. He carried some projects with School of Orientail and African Studies in London. He may be of help.
