Note; this is a forward and does not represent my view
Mr Samba Jallow, the defeated NRP candidate for Niamina Dankunku constituency, has refuted the allegation by Lamin Waa Juwara that the NRP leader, Hamat Bah, had infused tribalism into the Niaminankas, describing the view as baseless.
In an interview with these reporters at his home village of Jessadi in the Central River Region, Mr Jallow said the claims are unwarranted, noting that there has never been any case of tribal segregation within Niamina. “ I see no reason why Juwara is making such allegations,” he said.
According to Samba Jallow, rather than campaigning for the opposition candidates, Waa Juwara remorselessly campaigned for the APRC candidates in Niamina Dankunku, Niamina East and Niamina West.
He contended that the people of Niamina have the right to choose their representatives and would take the result in good faith, even though they were disappointed with the outcome.
The NRP candidate in Niamina Dankunku finally called on all natives of Niamina to put aside political differences and work for the development of Niamina in particular and the country in general.
