Prevention is better than cure. Long time ago information was circulating about the health hazards of asbestos roofing material. Many buildings including Health Centres and schools in Gambia were roofed with this material (some of them still) Teachers' and health personnel quarters also were roofed with asbestos. Later, some of the roofs made of asbestos in the Sapu Agricultural research station have been changed. Some schools and living quarters still keep the supposed hazardous roof. The lung disease is called asbestosis
Yes, you may say it is false that information about frozen food cooked in microwaves is false but prevention is better than cure |

My friend, it is an urban legend, one of those bogus emails that people send out that plastic containers in microwaves cause Cancer.

Heres the link on urban snopes that shows that this emails sent on plastic containers in microwaves causing cancer is an urban legend and not true. They have included samples of the emails circulated by people and places also to get more credible information. |

This view has been running around long enough and caught the serious attention of highly placed interested parties on the issue. It is no harm that Bantaba readers share it out. To believe or not to believe is personal choice. Talk around the issue is REAL. That is what makes it worth reading about. It is up to experts to agree or disagree on claims of this nature.

Yes well said,it may well be that these actions do us harm,and perhaps one day it will be proved true,after all plastic is not God made,neither are microwaves.
