Guys, don't you think Jammeh is employing new tactics to reduce HIV infection in the Gambia by eliminating the infected? Off course history teaches us that war can be an economic strategy to reduce over population and comsumption of resources. We also know that the sick especially those infected by HIV/AIDs can be a real liability to society. So the question is, is Jammeh employing such strategies or would you say the man is too dumb to think that deep and negative?

I know these questions are tought to digest, but am left with no option but to begin to ask some crazy questions about this man's craziness. You don't have to be a doctor to know that gaining 35lbs a month spells some serious medical problem. May be someone can address these questions on behalf of Jammeh...

Alhassan, you are funny. Why do you ask me to contac an infection clinic?? I have not HIV, neither have I aids.
I said exactly the same as you - the patients are not cured and they are putting on weight due to the medicament.

Mr Jammeh's actions rest on the guilty heads of all those Gambians who play with the fire man. Gambians think election is the simple exercise of democratic rights. Mr Jammeh thinks he is fooling Gambians to become a devil commander after being voted. Gambians enjoy the game. Fair and good.

kiwi01,
I asked you to contact them so as to find out about the putting on weight of these patients. You seem to lack information about the virus. The putting on weight has nothing to do with the betterment of the Hiv-possitiv. That is why I asked you to contact these institutions so as to get better information. Remember we need more information about the nature and side effects of the medecines. I hope you got me right. I find out these information so as to have knoledge of it.

Its really confusing regarding the situation of HIV/Aids in the gambia when the daily observer is reporting a "breakthrough" and the freedom newspaper reporting exactly the opposite. Who do we believe in this case? can somebody help by telling us the exact conditions of patients under Dr jammeh`s medication? Its really hard to believe either side of the story...

With the information and knowledge I have , I belive in the point newspaper's version of the story. It is difficult for me to just give in for the surposed healing story of the Hiv-possitive in the Gambia.
