Much talked-about criminal case of Aziz Tamba has now gone down the bins. After all the noise about Tamba's economic crimes and illegal possession of arms, he is set a free man. What is THE difference between Aziz Tamba and Baba jobe ?

Folks

The guy was never released from custody. Infact it was his co-defendants who got released from custody.

The Point Newspaper in Banjul will be happy to get this update. According to the quoted publication (see link above) both men are released on bail. It is also stated that they have already spent their preferred sentence in detention. This implies that they are no longer subject to detention. I am not sure what that means other than the jail doors set ajar for a man arrested on economic crimes and possession of fire arms without legal authority. Who do we believe, the Point or our final judge?

You'd be amazed with the amount of junk that come from that "newspaper". Sometimes i wonder who is more sane, the editor of this paper or Dr Jammeh. They must have been to the same school in Lala land.
