Kondorong, Nyarikangbanna is the same as SS Daffeh. You can always find that SS Daffeh at the bottom of every article I posted. Thanks for your interest anyway.

This is not for you Kondorong but I must say it. One thing about education is that, if you work hard, make the best use of it and try to be smart, you can make it. If you don't, and you an American, you get stuck in Iraq [Per Senator Kerry]. If you are a Gambian, well, you become a fanatical Talibeeh of the Serrekunda Ayatollah, Halifa Sallah for good.

Thanks

You seem to have an endless reservoir of adjectives for the NADD Flag bearer

By the way are there fanatical Mullahs of Darboe?

Am really impressed with both of you guys, especially Nyaringkangbana, Kayjata and Sanusi. Last but not the least also to all postings including Kons. Gathered a lot of educational material from you and Thanks!

However for Nyanringkangbana, these words from President Bush from the Times today, are really powerful and hopefully can inspire you to bury the hachet as always manifesting despise for Halifa Sallah, Waa Juwara and NADD! There should be some kind of spirit of hope, progress and the way forward than always harbouring hatred to prejudice your thoughts.

"Acknowledging the unpopularity of the war, he said that the Democrats offered only criticism. “Anger is not a plan. Criticism is not a plan. Pessimism is not a plan,” the President told cheering crowds."

Personal hatred undermines one's education. To be educated means to have the ability to see both sides of an argument without prejudice. There is always two sides to a story. You can be as brilliant as ever, but once you harbor grudge against others, you have undermined your credibility. As I always said, hate the game and not the players of the game.

Mixing education with personal hatred is the most dangerous combination in society. A bright example is the mad scientist who used his knowledge to blow up peoples' heads.

I hope and pray that Nyarikangbanna reflect on his words against people who are his opponents and not enemies. After all we are all Gambians and human beings. Every human being has someone they admire and look upto. Be positive and use your knowledge for the greater good.

I think Halifa Sallah is a very outstanding Gambian in his love of country , knowledge and self-reliance.
His perceived mastery of many subject areas including the constitution tends to make him an easy target for many critics. during his (and Sidia's)1994 trial for violating decree number 4 the prosecution attorneys used to ridicle him for going "pro se".They think it was foolish for him to "act attorney" by defending himself .
Maybe Nyarikangbanna could tell us what is so resentful about Mr. Sallah.I am not aware of any individual or societal wrong committed by Mr.Sallah.
It is true he urged Gambians to vote for an "imperfect" constitution in 1995. But many gambians at home and abroad seems to agree at the time that was the better of two evils . The adoption of a constitution gave us a platform for creating a constitutional and democratic government , although Jammeh has now gone a long way in stifling that reality.

Nyaringkanbana, once more you said it in your word words and inspires as follows:

"One thing about education is that, if you work hard, make the best use of it and try to be smart, you can make it. "

I believe Halifa is exploiting those potentials to overstrained himself with many disciplines and became more precarious for critisms! However constructive critisms are helpful and appreciated!

JAMBO: Law is a highly regulated profession , unlike political science or history. You have to be licensed to practise law , otherwise you could be prosecuted for UPL (unauthorized practice of law).Only a licensed attorney can give legal advice.
The mechanism of a lawsuit and the practice of law is many times too complicated to be handled on cyberspace.

I have been known on this forum and else where to be a fan of Halifa Sallah. I have absolutely no relationship with him, but I grew up admiring his humbleness and content with life.

Any one who lives their lives and has never been criticized or don't have enemies, then he/she is upto no good. History has taught us that the greatest people ever to live on earth has always had bitter enemies who are determined to bring them down. Those enemies either had personal agendas or simply are envious of those people simple better than them in so many things. Keep the faith...

Ooh! now I can see why 'Darboe this' , 'Darboe that' could not prevent Lawyer Ousainu Darboe from earning Over Hundred Thousand [100,000] Votes despite the unprecedented voter turnout.

Guys its not about personalities but our "VOIRE DIRE" trial and challenges starts with some contemplation of bi-partisanship, working together with some element of soberness, maturity, on national issues, national development, sound policies, a good political orientation, visionary leader, liberty, good governance, an ideal democracy, equity and justice for the way forward and for PEACE AND STABILITY for our nation; The Gambia.

Interesting reading and progress by an underdog with impressive tactics so far to win hearst and minds in Gambian politics; from Gambia Journal under http://allafrica.com/stories/200611080992.html

Having read that article, anyone is convinced that its not about President Jammeh, APRC, Darboe, UDP/NRP, Halifa, NADD, Henry Gomez, GPDP, Hamat amongst others but about RIGHT ORIENTATION, SPIRIT OF NATIONAL UNITY AND NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE GAMBIA OUR HOMELAND!

PEACE AND LOVE FOR THE GAMBIA OUR HOMELAND!

MOTHERLAND DEAREST!

Kon, you are very right. It is not about any individual and I have said it on this forum that politics of personality is dangerous. Credit should be given where it is due. Leaders should be called to attention when they fail in their leadership.

NyarikangNyankumo, you got nothing to offer, this is why when the real issues are mention you decide to abstain, but when names are mention you are all over the place.

Gaining 100,000 votes is not something to be proud of. It is as bad as getting 500 if not even worst. I don't know what you can do with those votes except to question your failure and reinvent your strategy.

We must have the guts to question our leaders motives and failures. If we accept things as they fall, then the outcome is that once regarded as strong majority party is reduced to chaos.

I have invited you Nyarikan... to debate the issues head on, but you have decided to play deft. Are we ever going to question our leaders failures or just accept their missteps and put the blame on others?

I did not think you were capable of turning such a deft year to the real issues and change 360 degrees from juch two months ago. The cat has been let out of the bag. It was either the presidency or the high way for you. Yes, please God save the Gambia....
