You cannot have a complete history of Mansa Musa without the accounts of Ibin Batuta. It looks like this piece left him out. He said "gold grew like carrots plucked at sunset" He was the chief architect of propaganda from the middle east. He was an Arab historian.

Many doubetd his stories because it was belived to be stretched too far. His accounts were real examples of hyperboles.

he was not. read the second to last paragraph. he was a great explorer and a source to many historians not just for Mali, or West Africa, but muslim Spain, Iran, India and China. he saw it all
