I recall my family attaining land in the 70's from the Alkalos in exchange for cash and bags of rice. This was a time when people laughed calling Fajara, Bijilo and the surrounding area bush. I guess things have changed. I heard they are now asking exorbitant amounts for a small parcel of land. Does anyone know the names or contact information of the Alkalos in the country? Is Land purchasing done through the ever corrupt lands office? |
