I think many of you will remember the debate we had about the AU sumit in gambia. Many of you were rejoicing about trafic lights and such trivial things and i cautioned you to be mindful of what will happen once the event is over and NAWEC goes back to where they were. I asked you all what the use of trafic light is if you are going to go without electricity for the better part of the night. Look there are many qualified people to run the water and electricity in gambia. To call on government to bring us foreigners to run our utilities is crazy. I know many highly qualified people in the gambia who could run this facilities. The issue is incompetence of management, cronism, nepotism, corruption. Most times the generators will stop functioning because much of the money that is suposed to be used for repairs or fuel is stolen before it even gets there.
People of the gambia have to be kicked in the teeth and dragged in the mud to wake up and throw the jammeh goon squard out of power. They are murderers and thiefs

if you leave the politics out. i think gambians have run it since independence. as you said if the management is guilty of '' cronism, nepotism, corruption'' then perhaps foreigner are the only solution.

However this is not the case. also there is nothing wrong with privatisation or allowing foreigners to manage things . in the UK for example many public services are run by continental european companies (EDF from France is a major player in the UK) and recently some spaniards are going to run some airports etc.

it doesnt mean there are no competent people in the UK.

Kajaw. You are free to express your opinions but this appraoach won't help and is counter productive. Aggressiveness won't take Gambia no where rather more hardships and victimisation would be the results! These are the orientation under a crude style of politicking by creating your own enemies castigating the authorities in this way.

All of us as average Gambians need re-orientation on style of politics, approaches and attitudes towards the system for a better Gambia hopefully under the NEW ERA!

My advise is be tactful to forward constructive critisms and don't be so blunt as with these critisms?

Kajaw where you during the elections silent. This takes me back down memory lane striaght after 2001 elections when you came out with both guns blazing.

For your info traffic lights in Gambia is a good step in the right direction the more Gambia has the better. So did your contacts put forward any proposals to the government to insure they could contact hundreds of houeholds per month to the grid what was stopping them?

Kajaw you must be suffering with amnesia have you forgotten that the last elections were three weeks ago. I suggest you drink some sweet attayah to get over the shock that APRC won again with the overall consenus of Gambians.

Never mind Kajaw I'm sure you'll have the next five years to prepare you strategy for becoming the next President of Gambia. Hey don't fall asleep Kajaw you still have the opportunity to run for the NAM's

Peace
