Hosted by the Mali Society for Health- and Bio-Informatics (SOMIBS) under the auspices of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA), the HELINA 2007 conference brings together international health informatics professionals and researchers in Bamako, Mali, on January 9th and 10th, 2007. The goal of the conference is to exchange on the topic "eHealth in Africa", sharing on lessons learned from existing projects, discussing conceptual and organizational issues, and laying the ground for the future of eHealth in Africa through a better understanding of opportunities and challenges.
The conference will also bring together representatives of national African health informatics associations in order to organize the governance and operation of the IMIA African Region representation: HELINA.
Abstracts of up to 500 words and written in English should be submitted before October 15, 2006.
The submission form should be downloaded from the conference web site and sent by e-mail to ag@hcuge.ch
Notification of acceptance will be sent by October 31, 2006 and final submissions (presentation or paper) will be needed by December 15, 2006 in order to be included in the Proceedings of the Conference.
