I think one of the emerging political forces Gambians will have to deal with for sometime is Hamat Bah. We might need to profile him as he stands to benefit from a the Alliance should Ousainou calls it quits.

Any potentials pout there?

Hamat is done as a politician. As a result of what he demonstrated, history will teach him a bitter lesson. Not only did he acted as a tribalist to the wollofs of Saloum, but that he acted a betrayal to the union, and the entire Gambian populace. He shouldn't even return to the hotel industry, because he is likely to pollute a lot of decent people. Hamat & Darboe-like father, like son. If Darboe is father, Hamat is the son, and the opposite is also true.

To the wollofs of Saloum, please don't take his words seriously. You guys voted him before, so for him to echo those foolish sentiments-he was desperate and out of sense. Infact, a claer source has it that it was the fulas that didn't vote for him. "Fulbeh fof choodih, Hamat Bah yahrih.",Halpular-meaning all the fulas washed their hands, and Hamat Bah drank that dirty water.

Long live the wollofs of saloum!!
And long live All Gambians-and co-existence.

Hamat has demonstrated insincerity and lack of confidence in himself in the run up to the elections. He should have stood up for the interest of the Gambian people and maintain the little credibility he earned standing against corruption while he was in the house.

He has shawn Gambians his true political idealogy through his inconsistencies. Talk is cheap... He needs to mould himself from the politics of inconsistency and define himself. Hamat is vocal, but that only leads him astray as he made some serious blunders during this campaign claiming to sign secret deals without the mandate of the Gambian people.

Who knows what he is capable of accepting behind close doors in the name of the people. If you flip Hamat over, you get the Jammeh who claimed to have access to Allah's bank account when actually he is borrowing away each of our childrens'lives. Cheap politics will have no place in Gambia in the next decade. Politics of tribalism is death from this election and Hamat cannot survive another run. He has accomplish his mission to have free access to the West. Look out for him joining the rest of us sooner.
