Me too Kjatta.
I hate partings. I think Kobo should just have left without announcement.
Contributions here and everywhere is based on "will"-with available time, he would better have taken a break and come back afresh. He left those of us suspended in thinking now.
Having followed most of his contributions, he seems both a nice elder with verse education, and a responsible person. Also, an intellectual who believes in sharing his educational values. Though, his punch of "bro African" at a time calling him a "pessimist", and his encounter with "Bamba" calling him a "beast" didn't sound right to me. But who is a perfect being here ?
I hope Kobe reverse his decision, and contribute to educate others. Leaving is like denying your students here "notes". I think it is ok to break, especially when you don't like certain interractions, but come back to make your points when it looks shiny.
While Bamba made all believe that Momodou was Kobo, but this was refuted by Momodou himself, and conversations observed in the past doesn't seem to justify the claims, but that most of us took him the Kobo he said he was from day one.
So Kobo, as you leave- may the love of the lord be with you, and all of us. I understand the muddy political situation with the opposition's slim chance of winning the election will make any hide or disappear for ever.
I will miss your intellectual postings, and aggressive interaction. Good luck !
Regards, Gainako. |

Kobo, what’s up with this abrupt self imposed suspension from the forum, is there an axe to grind? [Rah]. reads literally all your posts and never gets inundated. I'm optimistic, and hope this is just a suspension, and not a termination of hard hitting and factual posts by [kobo] . I hope your avatar gets reserved for you. Take care, and do what you gotta do. yeh,rah |

Kobo, I'm a long time reader and recent poster. I've always enjoyed yours and the posts from others. A sabatical is not a bad thing as I feel an individual always comes back 1000% refreshed and prepared to to tackle injustice.
Peace my brother and take all the time you need. Time is on our side but time is not a luxury the current administration has.
All the best. |

WELCOME back , Kobo. Nice to have you on board, and look forward to your vibrant discussions. This is not about being RIGHT or WRONG. "If two people gather around a table , mud is bound to emerge ". Indeed there is a lot of mud on this forum , but we all learn (benefit) from the pool of ideas whether RIGHT or WRONG. That is the way I see it . |

Thanks for that Kayiatta. Its similar to what Biraago said when Gainako website is being hatched, as quoted below:
"The fact of the matter brother Dalton is we are not out to witch hunt anyone. We are not calling names for the sake of calling names. We are playing our civic duties and we must stand up for what we belief. I have a feeling some of us have to sacrifice to safe generations to come. Sacrifice I don't mean taking unneccessary risk, but speaking when the need to speak arises. Standing up when few will stand up for what is right. No one will rescue us from the sinking ship. We must rescue our love ones even if it means losing our own lives.
Besides, we are different in that we don't spread hatred and condemn our opponents for wanting their positions, but we point out our disagreements and objections to injustices. If it means alienating us for standing up for what is right then let us be alienated.
Brother Dalton, our credibility matters a lot in the fight for justice. We must embrace our opponents and seek to win their conscience even during heated debates. We don't hate the players, we hate the game and the game cannot change itself. There is no doubt in my mind that you could set up an incredible paper that not only your supporters agree with but also one that will be embraced by the very people who disagree with you. This is about Gambia and not I, you, or Yahya. We can all agree to disagree, but silence means acceptance of what is imposed on us. "
On a similar note and sentiments expressed. Our Dear Brother Cornelius inspire us with these statements under Topic: NADD The Party of Enlightenment quoted nelow:
“The western world developed and made scientific breakthroughs only after it succeeded in telling the politicians that they are as human as the taxpayers. That they have no special relationship with God, and must never attempt to assume they have. That their only job is to serve the interest of the people in worldly affairs, and the people will serve their own interest in the spiritual affairs. That they are in government not because they possess any more supernatural means than the people, but because only a few of the people can be in charge of the national interest at any given time.”
WHAT BEAUTIFUL THOUGHTS AND GREAT MINDS FOR PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT!
