Jambo,
The Point is on line. It happens regularly that it takes 4-5 days before they actualise their site. |

The Point has been silent since 31-8-2006 and it is election time. Why keep quiet?
This is what the American ambassador to Sierra Leone had to say about a free press, in January this year and we must admit that the Gambian press is even more developed today than it was yesterday, as a reading comparison easily shows.

These guidelines are commendable and with the rule of law for the good of the people and to the glory of the Gambia. http://www.gambia.dk/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1783
This article (Development as Essentially a Humanizing Process) amplifies some of the implications of one of the points that Baba Galleh Jallow raised at that Midwest Gambian Association's 7th annual Conference “Develop the minds of the people, and the people will develop the country” etc etc

I am looking at the tourism angle ( not the sex hunters angle) and even the house building prospect and the newspapers are one source of information. A free press takes the temperature of the nation, quite accurately. |
