Sister, you hit the nail right on the head! Ruffling up one's moral feathers is the most unappropriate way to deal with the problem.
Do we find any white (European/US) prostitutes, male or female, in Africa, Asia or Latin America? No, but in Europe it seems as if at least 60% of the prostitutes are from these continents; the rest from Eastern Europe. Prostitution is disgusting, but it is much more connected with poverty than with a lack of bourgeois 'morals'. |

| Prostitution doesn't take people anywhere, it is disgusting, there are other ways to be by yr self, we the young once got married with a white's, got complex with this, b'cos their families may say, if all gambian are like that, while's not, and even how we meet until marriages life get between us. |

I ask you this how will you stop it, I have mentioned many times that the police know what is going on and accept it.
Other countries took a stand against and the tourism trade still goes on.
Kassma, you have to look inward for the answer to the solution.
So when are you going to Gambia and making a stand, it is easy to critic from a afar. I hope you go in the next couple of months. |

to deter foreigners, we can have a law that fines serious money and a jail sentence of at least mandatory 2 months if found guilty. how do you fine someone guilty, no matter what anyone says, a 20 year old wants nothing to do with a 35year old and up, okay, yes!!!! so if we see a 40 and up white woman or male with a young lady or guy having inappropriate behavior with each other, you know what, she or he needs to go to jail and of course the arrest and everything should be shown on the news. Gambians hate having their dirty business aired and i'm sure after a couple of examples has been shown, people would hesitate from nonsense like that since they might be shown. since prostitution (hopefully) is illegal, maybe the Gambian, if old enough, can also face jail too.
this will however mandate a system change cause our policement right now aren't worth sh!t. i think undercover work is the best way to caught people. i think its important to target the foreigners cause someone can always be bribed with money. however, if foreigners want sex, they can go somewhere else for it, how nasty!!
in a couple of months, i'm going to be talking the mcat so no i will not be going to Gambia any time soon. even though i would like to see change RIGHT NOW, dropping everything and going home will not be the best decision for me.

There are a lot of white prostitutes in the Gambia and Senegal. You have to go where they are or know them or some one who knows. Bot in Dakar and N'darr. In Dakar you just need to go to Café de Paris. |
