The book Where There is No Doctor was one that I relied upon when I lived in Ndiobenne Tallene many years ago. I dont know if folks ever see this book anymore, but its full of lots of good information for someone who is a community health worker. There are other books too like where there is no dentist, and even one for midwives and womens health.

your mis-behaving again Lemon Time!

The world would be a poorer place if it was peopled by children whose parents risked nothing in the cause of social justice, for fear of personal loss. (Joe Slovo - African revolutionary)

Lemontime Pls explain, that must by way of Pluto? Perhaps Konds knows the way??? They must put some kind of valium in the water sources of Moso?? Do you think it might be the same kind of waters found in Kanilai ...? Do the Stepford Wives live in Muso Faso??? If Bette Midler is there I might consider a lobotomoy..... The brave new world...

Newfy - thanks very much - I have downloaded them - and will take them out to Gambia when I go next. Mind you. Not so sure if I should trust someone who lists as his hobby - paying bills!

Jojo... i guess what i meant to say is that my hobby is looking for doing things or taking care of needs, while paying off my credit card and bills.

im sure you understand, since the price of living in your country is higher i think sometimes than living in the Hawaiian islands. Gas is 3.58 a gallon. but probably more economical than the UK for instance. We have very poor public transportation systtem. 70 percent of our food is imported in, although we have alot of farmers who grow bananas, lettuce, papaya etc;.but oOur costs of food is 35 percent or more higher than Mainland U.S.
The average cost for a purchasing a house is 600,000-800,000. The local people struggle here exceptionally with large families and needs. The majority work in the tourist industry which is low paying or service industry.

I try to life as simply as I can...its become a hobby..
