I was reading the freedom newspaper website and saw pictures of the Juwara toture and i was thinking if someone did that to me what will i do to the individuals involved. I have my own toturers and i have not forgiven them yet and if we both live long enough, i will bring justice to them or bring them to justice however long it takes. One of my toturers when i was 15, i have been to his home. I sat across from his house in talinding i know his children and i am bound to confront him one day. We have met face to face and i have looked in to his eyes. He does not remember me. That i am sure of but i have not forgoten him. If i am Juwara, i will not forget those who have broken my body like that and for the rest of their natural lives, they better not be looking behind their soulders because i will still be lurking.
I would give him every oportunity to atone himself but if he chooses to ignore it, he will be doing it at his own peral. Forgiveness for me is for only those who have realized what they have done and sincerely apologize for it. In Islam, the standard for atonement is just that it is that the popertrator must realize what they did and seek forgiveness from his hearth. As is said arabic. Tubu il la Lahi toubatan nafsi, wa asthafirulahi, inna lahi kana hafuran rahim. Even God forgives but whoever is seeking forgiveness and repentance must be doing it out of a sincear hearth.
