As the september polls get closer, it becomes certain that the option is only Nadd. Join me in this poem to ask Almighty God to bless Nadd, and make it flourish.
Our Nadd, we pray for you The brick layers in millions The cemented bonds of love and facts Our Nadd, we pray for you.
The days of tyranny fading away The birth of a new Gambia The Atlantic water smiles Our Nadd, we pray for you.
The unshakable memorandum of Understanding The wisdom of real patriots Wisdom makers planting the pillars of democracy Our Nadd, we pray for you.
The guards of angels The scribes of angels All in charge of golden Nadd Our Nadd, we pray for you.
At 360 degrees, we are still Nadd At 180 degrees, we were Nadd At 0 degree, we were Nadd Our Nadd, we pray for you.
We watched the devil's whisper We withnessed the famous split We conquered the devil with a sword Our Nadd, we pray for you.
The credit for the cordinators Teachers of the deaf and blind Africa's real nobles Our Nadd, we pray for you.
When the east lightens with the sun The night brightens with the moon and the stars No more darkness Our Nadd, we pray for you.
When the haters hated Supporters galvanized more It shamed the hypos Our Nadd, we pray for you.
Tyranny out, Nadd in Hate out, love in Devils out, angels in Our Nadd, we pray for you.
Yes Nadd, welcome peace ! Ameen Ameen Our Nadd, we pray for you.

Brother Dalton, that one touch my heart and tears almost ran down my cheeks with emotions. The love for our people and country cannot be confused with empty hretoric. One cannot separate the skin from the flesh without blood oozing. When the true patriots put pen on paper it comes across cystal clear. It leaves no room for speculation or gossip.. For the Gambia our home land; home sweet home, our prayers for you and with you forever and ever . Keep it up. Peace |

How do you know that a posting is from a true patriot. I think there is a new wave of NADD magic water here. There is no posting that will not generate a discourse in politics.
May be Dalton seem to butter your side of the bread. I am not sure if NRP supporters will react similarly. LONG LIVE NADD MAGIC WATER |

Thank you all bantaba patriots. The poem, like the many understood is meant to emphasise that "united we stand, divided we fall apart." Again, it is clear that people have different understanding of Nadd, mine is simply the union of the opposition, and none is excluded except the one that isolated himself.
"The brick layers in millions The cemented bonds of love and facts"
This help to show the bond among Nadd supporters is unbreakable.
"The unshakable memorandum of Understanding The wisdom of real patriots"
It cannot be argued that such history is being cultivated by people with wisdom, and by nature of what they are doing, i honored them by calling them patriots.
"The guards of angels The scribes of angels"
Anything likened to the angels of God is golden. From the scriptures, we are told that angels are made out of bliss, humans out of clay, and the devil out of fire.
"At 360 degrees, we are still Nadd At 180 degrees, we were Nadd At 0 degree, we were Nadd"
It is obvious that we withnessed many withdrawals, but still even those that quit Nadd amidst any reasons are calling on other opposition members to unite with them. This togetherness is truly Nadd.
"We watched the devil's whisper We withnessed the famous split We conquered the devil with a sword"
It is obvious that the division was the devil's whisper, and the split is so famous that Saja Taal used the word after i predicted it in a poem. pull out the records for that.
The poem's heading; "Our Nadd, we pray for you." shows that this is a supplication to God, asking Him to flourish unity of the opposition. Which is also my ending in the last two parts.
The prophets called themselves prophets, because they received the inspiration that they are messengers and prophets. We are ordinary humans, and in our little ways we contribute to democracy. This effort/endeavor for a positive fruition is called patriotism, though no one can praisesing himself or herself to be a patriot, but when it is titled on you, don't feel proud of it, but take it to be an encourage. At the same time, it's a supplication, and i say ameen to it.
Kondorong is not sure if NRP will like the poem, but we heard Hamat calling for Nadd members to join them. Why is this so ? That's the true Nadd. The Nadd magic bottles are good for this forum, and that's where i have been drinking mine from day one-from the marabouts of true patriots.
Flourish Nadd ! Flourish Nadd ! Flourish Nadd !

Flourish Nadd ! Flourish Nadd ! Flourish Nadd !
This is where you make the mistake. NADD is NO LONGER A UNION OF THE OPPOSITION. It has ceased to be such when UDP and NRP broke away. In fact it never was the union of the opposition. Not all the opposition parties were in NADD. Right now, NADD has become a shadow of its former self. This is what you call in business studies as a GOOD WILL . In fact Hamat understood this strategy and decided to use PPP's Blue color to his advantage given the fact that there were many die hard supporters of PPP who were denied to contest the elections in 1996. PPP did approach NRP on the issue to have their color back but Hamat refused on the basis that PPP never existed when he registered his party.
The current NADD is no longer a representative of the opposition but rather an alliance between PDOIS, NDAM and PPP. NRP and UDP have formed their own alliance and registered with the IEC. Therefore any future negotiations with the "current" NADD has to be on the basis of TWO SEPARATE AND INDEPENDENT GROUPS. Entering the negotiation with the pretext that UDP/NRP are still part of the former NADD is a legal error.
Whether one supports the break away depends on which side your bread is buttered. I believe that in a democracy, individuals have the right to belong to a party of their choice, elect and be elected in accordance with the existing electoral laws. Not being able to exercise the right to choose and the right to affiliation without being called a name or otherwise, runs counter to freedom of speech and association guaranteed in the constitution.
I think it’s healthy for people to be free to associate themselves with any party. If Halifa were to join APRC, I believe he should not be seen as a traitor or whatever. Enjoying this right to associate is fundamental to genuine democracy.
It is this right that Halifa and Sedia exercised under the 1970 constitution to form a party. Both were public officials at some point in their lives. I hope we will all respect that freedom which gave us Halifa Sallah. Without that freedom, Halifa would not have existed. As to whether such moves are right or wrong depends on where our individual interests, hopes desires and aspirations lie. There will always be many Halifa Sallahs and Ousainou Darboes for generations to come. ONE MAN’S MEAT IS ANOTHER MAN’S POISON.
In 1964, the name Pierre Njie was synonymous to be an oppostion just the same way Ousainou is being described in some "current" NADD quarters. interestingly, Ousainou's life and Pierre Njie did cross. Could Ousainou be still seen as another Pierre Njie of yester years is any one's guess. UP and PPP never accepted each other and animosity was very strong in the run-up to internal self government. Ousainou stood up against PPP in the aftermath of the 1981 TAXI DRIVERS COUP just like his formere mentor Pierre Njie did with the same party before full independence.
It is in recognition of the fact that individuals have different desires, hopes and aspirations that the constitution cannot put a limit to the number of parties that can be registered. To do so is to limit creativity, and deny better candidates to come to the fore. BEAUTY IS IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER.
LONG LIVE NADD. LONG LIVE UDP/NRP. |

Kon, no one can read what is in another person's heart. We can only take people for what they say and do on a consistence basis. As far as I am concern, on this forum and many others one can differentiate between those who have Gambia at heart and those who are looking for a way to get part of the cake.
I strongly believe that brother Dalton like many others on this forum loves their country and wants the best for the Gambia. They have clearly over and over express their open mindeness, maturity and willingness to stand up for the truth. If that does not qualify someone as a patriot then tell us what a patriot is. Will they do or act otherwise at the detriment of the Gambian people, it is upto to history to judge. As for now we can separate between those who have the heart and those who try so hard to fit in.
As for NADD, here is how I look at it. The idea that brought NADD into being has broaden from an opposition unity to unseat a president, to a National agenda that represent the best hope ever for the Gambian people. NADD's agenda is beyond Halifa Sallah, Darboe, Bah and anyone of those opposition parties. It started as a plan to get rid of the present regime, but its short and long term goals are a win for all. NADD's pillars are a democratic model that seek to eradicate any form of political oppression and domination by any one group, hence the reason why many Gambians embraced the idea of NADD once they listen to parts of its agenda.
So for you kon, or anybody to chastise the NADD agenda as a mere political agenda is a total disregard to the plight of our people and country. No matter what form of unity any group calls for, it cannot supersede the: One that seek to create a level playing field for all Gambians. One that seek to eradicate monarchical governments created by greed One that seek to limit Presidential powers and restore sanity in government One that will guarantee freedom of expression and association. One that will educate the people about their civic rights so they can seize to taken for granted by corrupt, lazy politicians. One that will finally lay the foundation for economic prosperity and a high standard of living that everyone of our people deserves.
This is the idea that created NADD that even Darboe/Bah embraced and it remains the best hope for our people.
Additionally, the way NADD was shaped and the birth of the MOU is all one need to understand to not underestimate the vision in Halifa Sallah. His ability to coordinate and create a National agenda gives him political leverage over the others. His presents in any negotiation creates such urgency and high expectation, that people with hidden agendas don't have the guts to sit with him and negotiate openly. Thus they were motivated to sign the MOU without fully understanding what they were given up. We can only blamed them for rubber stamping a National agenda that is superior to all other plans we have seen so far.
Long live NADD Long live Unity United we stand, devided we all perish. Peace.. |

This where you go wrong. What right have you to judge other peole who do not share your political views. So any one who does not like NADD is only there for the cake. We should avoid taking to the high morale ground. It does not help.
I am not aware of the fact that NADD has now gone beyond a politcal agenda of seating the APRC. Certainly the MOU has not said so. So do we have another MOU? May be you are priviy to some informations that the rest of us is not aaware of. Perhaps you are only telling us your wish and not what is on the ground. What makes you believe that NADD is not there for the cake and why others are there for the cake.
My understanding of democracy is that each party has a set of principles and plicies and programs as to how to intend to take the country forward. Rememeber we all have different deisires, hopes and aspirations and this will be manifested in our political life. IT IS NOT THE INDIVIDUAL PARTY PROGRAMS THAT GIVE LEGITIMACY, RATHER THE FREEDOM OF CITIZENS IN CHOOSING WHICH PARTY THEY WANT TO ASSOCIATE WITH WITHOUT LET OR HINDERANCE.
You have also insinuated that i am chastising NADD policies. May be you can show me where i said such. The only time i said anything against NADD is for Halifa to undertake secret negotiation with UDP. I think that is wrong and not in the spirit of transparency. We have to have te courage to stand up to our elected leaders and tell them how we feel NO MATTER WHO. The problem is the intolerance i have seen in many quarters whenever one raises issue with PDOIS or NADD.

Demba, Ahjaramah. It requires every one to humble themselves here (internet interaction) and outside (social interaction). I have long since taken the credit you gave me, a patriot. I have heard this many times. Equally, I see a lot of patriots in here and other places. I said this openly that the new Gambia when born, will be a good Gambia-so is the maturity demonstrated in forums. In my own little way, I am not here to boost of what I do or what I say to contribute immensely to national development. If i did or do, may God keep it for me as a reward, and the same for any that does. Your crown humbled me more, and I take it both as an encouragement and wish for a brother. The blindness in forums though, a lot of people pretend knowing someone, when to the point, they know nothing other the postings they see. They deserve to be sensitized. I am not here to argue, “am a patriot”, “am a patriot” etc.. I cannot reduce myself to mere personalized arguments. We all know the debating topics, but once in a while; you can see the silly pop-ups. I don’t want to feel immune that I cannot be criticized, or feel uncontrollable that I will reciprocate any unfair aggression, for that matter we try to keep the threads positive, until the need arises to be naughty, then after that is exhausted, it will be clear.
What is important is making your point and move on, since no one can claim they know everything. If one does, then as well they shouldn’t only terrorize this forum, but can take the 7 earths, 7 heavens, 7 hells, 7 rivers, and the 7 mountains all to themselves and see how much that will move my likes. You can also see it is like a mathematical graph, you can see how one can scrape all the respect the person earned, and reduced him or herself to a mere joke of discussion-many a times. You can also see the terror intended as the game is twisted, once in a while, foreign fighters are invited. No wonder many left that never came back, and others suspending, and others will leave.
I seek refuge in God from the diseases of the heart, and I seek refuge in God from being arrogant-ameen. By God’s knowledge and power, we will all prevail as decent patriots. As history forms, the patriots will be well distinguished from the no patriots, hypocrites from non hypocrites, and betrayals from the hopeful, nationalists from the nation destroyers. Infact, so far judging by the political quo, one clearly see the strength of the real patriots-Halifa Sallah is one. Kemeseng Jammeh another. We will imitate their likes to make Gambia a democratic region. Not that i am a worshipper to Halifa, but that i am a student to his teachings. Not that he cannot be criticised in my presence, but that such be done fairly and constructive. Not only is he a genuis, but an african icon, a bard-that deserve all our respect for his stance, and preachings against oppression. The same to any other person(s) that follows such foot steps.
One thing though I will say-patriots, compatriots, patriotism. The deeds we do, according to our capabilities makes us patriots, positive ones. The act of being a patriot is patriotism. I therefore, see a lot of patriots, regardless of me agreeing with their way of belief or not. At the same time, they also do unpatriotic acts, that can neither be forgiven nor forgotten, especially that which deals with the whole nation.
Now, to crown mine in a nutshell, I never allow others to terrorize or enslave me. I am quick to sense disrespect, hate and intended terror. At such times, respecting the many genuine, I choose to keep profiles low. My voice though, cannot be decapitated, because I am free, just like any other free person. I value my freedom, and that of others. In as much as contribute and share discussions anywhere, i will try to avoid making barriers, but where the need arises, i 've never being labelled a coward all my life. Restrain is called territorial integritty guarding.
By the way the supplication poem is received in good faith. Its moral lesson is clear. Thanks for those of you who always give encouragement to the younger ones. Sab is one person, who can be termed a patriot in this forum. With her short ridles, she can guide others to see their errors and strengths. From her teaching of the "heckles", i learnt not to argue too deep.
I rest myself! See you soon again.
Long live Nadd !! Long live the struggle !! Long live media outlets !! Down with terror !!!
Humbly submitted, Yero
