KOBO,EVEN the minority are allowed FREE Expression and to demonstrate unlike so MANY countries and states in the world today. BUT it shows that the MAJORITY are happy

Money wasted on a jubilee, when taxpayers money could be used for something worth while. Strange how we are in a recession, and that cuts have to be made, yet for the windsors the good life goes on.
Prince philip rushed into hospital with a bladder infection....hardly life threatning now is it. Bicarbonate of soda works wonders!!!!!
i wonder if the he was turfed early out of his hospital bed (like so many) to make room for someone else.
if he and his family would be denied life saving drugs because they are too expensive...methinks not.
Taxpayers money funding a family who are no better then you and I. And as toubab said its " yes FOR THE PEOPLE OF BRITAIN to show the world how things should be done"..so is that what its all about, "showing Off". PFFF
And as for The fawning and sychophantic comments by the daily mail and the BBC ..pass the sick bag.

Kisley I agree with you that I prefer to read about peoples worked out opinions rather than just cut and paste articles! Though sometimes they do have useful information.
I think the UK is far from royalist, but isn't quite republican. The most royalist seem to be the white, english working class and the conservative upper classes. The educated middle classes are less royalist in general, as are the Welsh and Scottish. I went to Scotland on holiday whilst the Jubilee was happening and only saw 2 or 3 flags in several hundreds of miles.
I have respect for the queen, but after her I feel that Royalty has probably had it's day.
But then what would we put in their place? Our politician's are worse, if anything!!!
In a social democracy there is no room for birth right elite, We need educated, intelligent people in top positions. Achieved by merit, not who you know or what school you went to.
Any ideas what we should do in the future? |
