This is very sad, and as far as I am aware hasn't made the news yet in the UK. |

It's definitely been discussed on Trip Advisor's Gambia forum and other UK/Gambia boards. Mr Stokes ran the Rose and Crown and also had a family link to Bayba. |

"The suspects, Michael Ifunaya Chukwbiken, Agbaeze Ugochulwou Stanley and Collins Chijioke are suspected to have killed Ian Stokes in the early hours of Sunday at the Junction Baa in Bakoteh, in the Kanifing Municipality."
These names don't resemble Gambian. Sad enough that Gambia is now populated by persons of such terrific nature. |

Lot of people continue wondering how it was possible to catch killers of this most recent case when many other cases still lay quiet for so long. Something is missing. |

Gambia president promised probing into death of Deyda Hydara (16 December 2004)
Wonderful how it has taken all the time. Up to 16 police officers have been recently promoted for their role in handling the attempted murder of a Libanese Hotelier in Gambia. How long the case of Deyda still hanging? What is the motive ?
