Woman Faints due to Flying Biscuits from Presidential Convoy

Fatoumata Balajo, a 32 year old resident of Serekunda who was waiting for a vehicle to travel to the coastal road fainted when a carton of biscuit thrown from a vehicle belonging to the Presidential convoy as it moved towards the airport to see the President off, on his trip to Dakar, Senegal, on Thursday 3rd May, 2012........

Fatoumata Balajo is a dignified lady living with disability. She was waiting for transport to go to the Coastal Road when a carton of biscuit was thrown from the President’s convoy which hit her right on the chest causing her to faint. She was rescued by the ambulance of the fire service and taken to hospital.

| Quite right toubab. In 2010 on my way from turntable to Manjai in a taxi ,the taxi suddenly swerved off the road before Senegambia and a whole load of blacked out 4x4s raced by at a very fast speed. I was standing at the roadside when several packets were thrown from one of the cars. People around scrambled for them and they turned out to be packets of biscuits! If one of these had hit anyone they would have been bruised at the very least. I'm sure that it has been previously reported that a young girl died after being hit by biscuits thrown from the President's entourage. A somewhat dangerous and pathetic practice. |

At that speed, the impact is liken to a flying bullet. Jammeh has no respect for life of anyone apart from his immediate household. This is total abuse. |
