I have just come back from 2 weeks in India.
My daughter has married an Indian man and we attended the traditional Hindu wedding.

The traffic was every bit as frightening as I expected. There is NO lane discipline and lots of horn noises.
Seeing people living in shanty towns alongside booming building work was quite shocking.
The amount of people living, sleeping and dying on the street was disturbing too.
Maimed beggars and child beggars being controlled by gangs were present in Delhi.

If you can manage to ignore these things then India is an amazing, fascinating, interesting and exciting place to visit.

I will write more later.

It's definitely on my list! Will get there one day. In the meantime I'm back to Gambia on Friday but will look forward to reading your posts on India when I get back Bev.
