This 18 year old is alledged to have stolen phone cables which had to be replaced "He further disclosed that the illegal acts of the accused have cost Gamtel a total of D1,600,411.28 (one million, six hundred thousand, four hundred and eleven dalasi and twenty eight bututs)."
Just one question I would be interested in having a reply to is,how could an 18 year old transport such a vast weight of "scrap" cable ? I am sure that linesmen and their equipment who repair the overhead lines are not very well paid,I think something is not right here.
