The Finnish osprey Jukka cared little about battles and flight bans when he flew over Muammar Gadaffis hometown of Sirte in Libya for about three weeks ago, on his way to winter rest in Cameroon. That Jukka really flow straight over the troubled area has been traced from Finland, where he was provided with satellite transmitters which made it possible to follow the rapture´s way from Pälkäne, southeast of Tampere, to the Cameroonian lake Lagdo. The trip took a month and apart from a ten-day stop in Poland the osprey travelled on average 276 km a day.
