Can't get round it when Jammeh said he will not campaign and still kind enough to provide so many tractors and motor bikes at this most crucial stage of of electioneering. Plus, of course, 365 days national news on him. Please help Kobo, I simply don't understand this and sincerely need some intelligible views. |

As the next elections draw closer, political parties with constructive programmes for national development are already reaching out to the people, in a bid to consolidate existing structures and also make people aware of the new programmes they have for them. It is therefore not surprising that the APRC, which so far has proven its credibility as a political organisation in the country, is giving motorbikes to its constituency executives to ease their work at the grassroots level.
Such an initiative by the APRC is an indication that the party is people-oriented. It is the only political party that puts the masses at the centre of its advocacy. Having the foresight to equip local party militants with mobility will no doubt aid in the cementing and consolidation of the party’s structures at the grassroots, as the militants can without much difficulty spread the manifestos of the party to the people.
In fact, it is such and other constructive engagements of the APRC that one can conclude with substantive evidence that the party is unstoppable at the polls. Giving motorbikes to grassroot party militants not only speak of the democracy and fair play existing within the ranks of the party, but also shows how committed the party leadership is towards realising the needs and aspirations of Gambians.
With such a commitment from the APRC stalwarts, Gambians today are aware of the fact that it is the APRC that shaped a new beginning in our struggle for self-determination, progress, peace and prosperity. The party gave birth to a new Gambia, because it provided and continues to provide the nation with high-class roads, good electricity and water supply, modern hospitals, accessible and quality education, and a host of other infrastructure.
We hope the motorbikes would be put into good use, so that the message of the party can be spread to every hamlet of the country.
