Kaaniba am afraid the queen of England was not in the picture till the kings of Gambia were neutralized and the installation of governors to oversee the five regions. The Kings had no option but to align with the more sophisticated occupiers or colonialist. The british ruled with the aid of 35 chiefs later reduced after the destruction of all the empires. This is all less than 40 to 70 years ago going further into the 1800s.We have a young country my friends and everything was compromised from the get go.....................................peace

I agree that we were under the rule of the Queen, yet the difference is that the said rule was by a constitutional monarch who has no real or effective control of or over the ruled . She is still the head of the Commonwealth which we still are part of; as well as being the head of state of the UK too, that role is more ceremonial than that of a defactor monarch with super powers of a mighty king who reign over his subjects with a heavy hand. I fear Yahya as king would not be a better ruler than him as a president. Here is some one who was "elected " after overthrowing the legitimate government of that time, treating his people with such harshness and cruelty as if they were his subjects, if he now assumes the role of king that for me would be terrible ordeal for our people, may Allah save us from such a plight.

Moe You appear to be possessed and anything on Jammeh must get your blessings What are the conditions, qualifications or criteria to be A KING OR FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF MONARCHY

CAN YOU CONSIDER THESE QUESTIONS FOR US PLEASE

1. DO WE NEED A MONARCHY

2. WHY DO WE NEED A MONARCHY

3. DO WE HAVE THE RIGHT POLITICAL CONDITIONS FOR A MONARCHY

4. DO YOU THINK JAMMEH WANT TO BE KING

5. WHY SHOULD JAMMEH BE A KING

6. IS GAMBIA UNDER A REPUBLIC NOT BENEFICIAL

A ROBIN HOOD STORY;

"What do you do for a living? STRANGER ASK"

"My Name is ROBIN HOOD...I rob from the RICH & POOR ...Give to the POOR & RICH!"

"How do you live if you give ALL THE MONEY TO THE POOR & RICH" STRANGER ASK AGAIN?"

"WHO CHECKS" ROBIN HOOD ENDING CHAT

WHAT WE ARE WITNESSING IS THAT JAMMEH IS ROBBING THE NATION AND WANT TO TAKE EVERYTHING; WITH GREED

moe....keep talking about Gambia's recent history. Hey, I want to talk about all these 50s to 80s but could not find many....

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

I definitely will Turk , just having a tough time these days being available regularly. Most of what am saying is not on the internet but hopefully my works will eventually fill the void. I feel that there has not been political writings due to various reasons and the fact everyone had skeletons in their closets meaning the ones that could have. My plan is to change that............Peace

Moe ,I just want you to tell me how making Yahya king changes our status quo, we are being ruled by a despotic president who thinks we all belong to him, for he thus has the right to decide what we say, do or do not do, daily , and so he appoints, dismisses and even jails us, where he deems fit or even at times makes us disappear either into dungeons or six feet deep. Just , at times ; for simply dissenting with his rule or misrule. King jammeh for me and many others would be a living nightmare , God forbid his acquisition of that might and power or is that a wish too far fetched ?

Yankuba kolley would be the first to dinounce Jammeh when the things get though. Our democracy or let me say our constitution is clear and unless Yankuba has been blinded by KMC funds that he uses for his pocket or he too wants to please the monster.Kingship is a non issue in the Gambia. If anyone wants to try, let them.I swear there will be bloodshed in the Gambia anytime anyone is crowned king in the Gambia be it Jammeh or anyone for that matter.Kingship is a non issue period!
