New religious title for President Jammeh
Wednesday, March 02, 2011
The Office of the President has announced that the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council has conferred the religious title of Naasiru Deen on the Gambian leader and shall henceforth be addressed as Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh Naasiru Deen, media dispatch issued yesterday stated.
The release reads: The Office of the President hereby informs the general public that the Gambia Supreme Islamic Council has conferred the religious title of Naasiru Deen on His Excellency the President of the Republic and shall henceforth be addressed as Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh Naasiru Deen.
This honour has come as a result of President Jammeh’s unreserved commitment and support for the cause of Islamic in the Gambia and beyond.

I see that Jammeh is still determined to add more titles. What does title mean for this fellow? After all these titles, he still feels small to himself. It won't surprise if Jammeh crowns himself a king and prophet soon.

Is Yaya Jammeh Muslim? Just out of interest. Word goes around that Captain Jammeh did not convert from animism. Others have it that Jammeh is unable to recite even a signle verse from the Holy Quran. Though on occasion we hear him loudly trumpeting 'Bilai Walai, Talai.'

Guys,
Let the socalled unislamic leaders of unIslamicc council(party council) Give him all the titles they want even Amirul Muuminuun of Gambia.
Would that make him that in the eye of God? Comon Gambians we have a lot at hand now than thinking about titles.
Gambians need an urgent end to Jammeh's rule now now now now. |
