H.E.must consider this a failure if the winner(who must be devoted to H.E.) only got 66% what does the average Gambian remember of these pronouncements.? Still the winner is to be admired for the amount of study undertaken.

President’s Statement Compilation Competition contestants to be awarded Africa » Gambia Friday, February 18, 2011 Following an announcement in September 2010 for the competition of the compilation of the President of the Republic’s statements from July 1994 to 31st December 2010, The Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh has decided to divide the prize of D1 000, 000.00 among the top three contestants of the Statement Compilation Competition from July 1994 to 31st December 2010, a media dispatch from the presidency has revealed.
According to the release, submissions were received; however none of the contestants was able to compile 98% of the statements made by the president.
The release reads: On September the 6th 2010 a press release was made announcing a competition for the compilation of statements made by His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh from July 1994 to December 31st 2010. Any contestant who could compile at least 98% of the total statements made by His Excellency will be given a cash prize of one million Dalasis (D1, 000, 000.00).
Following the announcement, submissions were received; however none of the contestants was able to compile 98% of the statements made by His Excellency.
Since there is no ultimate winner, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya AJJ Jammeh has decided to divide the prize among the top three contestants taking into consideration the amount of work done and presentation by top three candidates. Malamin Fafanding Gassama who compiled 66.1% of the total statements will receive D700, 000.00, Foday Baldeh who compiled 52% of the total statements will received D250, 000.00 and finally the Hands Together Association who compiled 23.7% of the total statements will receive D50, 000.00.
